What type of POP collector are you?

Number 1 for me, it’s so bad I gave my niece a Elsa pop this weekend and it’s the first pop my brother has ever seen out of a box and I have over 300.

Most of my Pop collection stays boxed. If I happen to receive a Pop with the box messed up, I'll take it out. Looking at dinged up boxes make me sad. (weird, I know!)

I'm more on the #3 side. $$$ exclusives stay in box (I've taken some out to snap a cool photo) and some lower end pops will come out of box.

My fiance started out as purely In Box collectors, but over time we stopped caring so much about condition and whatnot so we decided to go almost all OOB. For awhile we just had some grail pieces in protectors, but just recently decided to even take those out too. They just look so much better out on display I think.

I still am sorta picky when I buy stuff because I never know if I'll ever decide to go back in box depending on free space, but I have also become more relaxed about it too and buy something if it just has a small ding or crease and I don't want to wait to find another one.

I'm a #1 collector...never open. Mint box condition as much as possible too. So much..the kind who gasps crazy when the pop box fumbles out of one's hand........

Pretty much 85% OOB at this point. Grail pieces I keep in box depending on the piece... I don't go crazy with protectors and all that and honestly a few years in once you start taking them out you slowly realize it IS more fun that way than worrying about the cardboard it came in. I'm in the business and I get the box thing 100% but honestly some pops are getting so well done it's a real shame some will never see the back of them...

Number 1!!!!! Only only out of the box came in a bag. So basically it was already out of the box but it was a duplicate a friend sent as a gift and they are a #3 collector. I know for a fact they are happy it is out of the box.

In-box for most of my collection, with a handful (OG rafiki on my study desk, Black suit spidey on my bed's headboard)! Rafiki came OOB when I sourced a Lion King set and Spidey's came wrecked

My pops are out of the box. I used to keep them in the box and never opened them but I had an extra one of one of mine so I unboxed it and WOW all the details you don’t see in the box . So now all mine are unboxed and I have a garage full of boxes of pop boxes I’ve been trying to figure out how to post pics of my collection but haven’t figured it out yet. Even following all the directions on the Rescue Me page. But they look amazing out of the box.

Everything stays in boxes. For me, I'm glad that Funko scratches my collector itch and also could increase in value as time goes by. For instance, my wife and I got a 3-pack of Batman, Catwoman and Bane from TDKR for Christmas in 2012 and I checked recently and the Bane is now going for $50-$60 on eBay. To me, It's a much more satisfying collector hobby than something like Beanie Babies because even if it *doesn't* increase in value or they all come crashing down, I at least have pop culture stuff to look at.

Definitely a 3. I set free the commons and store exclusives. Con exclusives stay in box, chases and those valued at 25 and up go into hardcases.

I'm a mixture of 1 and 3.

Almost all of mine are in boxes except for ones I receive as gifts that I would never resell or the big 10 inch ones. Definitely had to open the 10 inch Porg, Groot and Hulk!

#4 for me, I tend to take all my Pops out of the boxes except for certain exclusives.. for example, I believe that flocked and metallic Pops are better kept inside the box for practical reasons.
