Conan 2018 Funko Requests

They announced the mono conan beforehand last year, but nothing like that this year so I doubt there will be. I think they learned the brutal nature of the collector in the wild. Without structure, they go crazy

They give you a few days to sign up. You basically sign up for them, and then they pull names a few days later.

Hoping to get tickets this year... I hear they give priority to those with SDCC passes so hopefully I can score them for Thurs (or Sunday) although Sunday has panels I want to go to ... SUPERNATURAL!!!

Is supernatural hall H? My wife and I probably will be spending all of Saturday in ballroom 20. Loving the DC lineup going on in there.

Camping out isn't necessary unless you want to be up front. If Doctor Who was on Sunday, maybe, but it is looking like they aren't. I would say try to go for wristbands in the evening before, or at least see what the line situation is. The Sunday lineup is strong, but I don't think you would need to camp out. Last year, you could just walk in to Supernatural, from what I heard. Of course, I'd like to go to the panel this year, so it will probably change! Every year is different, so keep an ear out and adjust as needed.

The lineup for Conan this year is not really my thing, except maybe the Aquaman cast. I have tried for Conan tix on PN when I didn't have a PN badge, but have never been successful. I just don't want to give up con time. I have Joker Conan and Stormtrooper Conan (ah, the year of the MGH giveaways), so I am happy with those. If I luck into some this year, it'd be great. I did order the Gamestop consolation set (that's what my husband calls it). It's really unlike me to be so zen about not completing a set. Maybe it will carry over into other lines...

The lineup is great in BR20, but if I get the autograph sessions that really puts me in a bind. As of right now, I think I will put autographs first because I saw flash, arrow, supergirl, and legends of tomorrow panels in ballroom 20 last year. If we don't get autograph sessions, my wife and I are pumped for the panels for second year in a row.

As for Hall H, it just depends on the panel. If I understand it correctly, they hand out wristbands the evening before. If it is popular, might want to be safe and get wristbands sometimes people will get their early depending on Saturday lineup. For hall H and ballroom 20, I suggest look what happens before and after the panel you want to watch as it will dictate what you do. I think last year the lineup before ballroom 20 DC lineup caused my wife and I to remain in there all day mastering the use of bathroom passes.

They have never gone up on a weekend, so I think you should be good. Last year, and I think the year before it was 2 weeks prior to the first taping. This year that is July 4th, so I don't think they will do that. Expect a weekday around Noon pacific.

The dates just showed up on 1iota. Last year tix were made available 4 days after the dates showed up, so we are close

I didn't realize until today that the Ant-Man Conan has a mini Ant-Man Conan with it. That makes it 10x cooler to me, especially now that it isn't a simple head swap. I mean, technically it is, but there hasn't been another Conan head that small, so I'll say it isn't. That means of the 4 SDCC ones this year, only one has a common head swap. Past years only had 1-2, so this year is a bit more unique in that regard at least.

I'm definitely interested in this after striking out for the 4th year in a row with tickets. I liked the winning ticket method as it was over quickly and fair. The random drop last year was frustrating at best.

I was just thinking, the ultimate Conan would be a Freddy Conan. Now I know what you're thinking, "Conan is just a head swap, how do you head swap Freddy on another head swap?" Simple, you do something similar to what they did with Freddy V or some other similar ones they've done (Bender). That way you have the Conan look (hair, etc.) with the Freddy styling (crown, nose, etc.).

Last year was too difficult...had to be at the right place and time. I bet some people last year only got it cuz it was given away for free.
