10” Dobby and Bailisk

I went to my local Target last Tuesday because Brickseek has the Basilisk listed with limited stock (apparently they only received 3) and was told by the employee that they can't sell them to me until the 8th. Checked again this morning and they're out of stock.
This is the first Target exclusive I'm buying; are their exclusives very limited or do they get more stocks later on? I would hate to think that that's it for this line of Harry Potter.

Depends I have seen some target exclusives sit for a long time but do not count on much for HP ones

I’m not sure how it works for each store but I can say that most of the Las Vegas stores received a re-stock on these. Both the original and re-stock were very low numbers.

Yeah, I have seen a number of their exclusives just sitting on the shelves and I've been wondering if Target was just really good at restocking or if the POP!s just weren't popular. I don't mind the low number of restocks as long as I can still get it down the line, so I hope that that is the case for the Basilisk. Thanks again, guys!

What a day finally got Dobby and Basilisk in PA

Woo~ Checked Brickseek when I woke up and all the other stores got their Dobby and Basilisk in. Went to my local one that opened at 7am and found a nice team member to get them out of the back for me. Made getting to work late totally worth it.

I am fully in support of going in to work late, for just about any reason! This in particular is a good one though!

Worth being late to work for not having to ship any of these guys from other places. I can't even imagine the shipping on either of them

Oh, it's going to be a nightmare to ship these guys! I have an out of state friend that I'm trying to help, she wants 2 each of Sepia Tom, Basilisk, Dobby and Lockhart. We'll see how many I can track down and how many I'm actually willing to deal with for shipping. SIGH!

My local Target had a few Dobbys left in the afternoon yesterday. I was surprised they didn't sell out first thing that morning.

I think it's the size, honestly. I love him, and that he's holding his sock, but I just don't have the space for him! So I'll have to admire him from someone else's house!

I was so close to getting Dobby this morning. The Target that I went to got in two (Brickseek says they stick have stock after selling the two) and I was third in line. I wouldn’t have been so bothered by it if the first guy who was there to get the T-Rex didn’t decide to just buy it even though he isn’t a Harry Potter fan. He was like “yeah, I will take one but not into Harry Potter”. I wish people would only buy the ones they actually want. More people would be able to get them that want them.

Oh well, keeping my fingers crossed and getting to Target extra early on Sunday to try and score all three. If not I have all 3 of the 10” Marvel ones that I am willing to give up in trade for a Dobby. I started collecting them thinking I would have a small Marvel collection but being that the Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts is growing at an exponential rate I am keeping them for trades for future Harry Potter ones.

Still no Dobby or Basilisk in Chattanooga, TN. Local stores did seem to finally get in the T-Rex today, though. Would be so nice if they go in stock tomorrow at my store. Crossing my fingers.

I went on the search this morning for Sepia Tom Riddle and found that some of the Targets are saying that the street date for the 3 Harry Potter Exclusives isn’t until 7/8. One store couldn’t find the one Pop and the other told me how there is a new rule that they cannot sell them until the street date, and the third store was selling them so I was able to get one. I wish Target was consistent on this rule. One store back when they were getting in the 10” Thanos told everyone that it wasn’t being sold until a specific date (like a week later) and then turns around and sold theirs the very next day, which was not the date the store manager had told people it would be. If you are going to have a release date all stores should follow it, not pick and choose to follow rules. It is very frustrating when you just want one and the scalpers are grabbing them up to sell.

I ran into this last week with my local targets. I even expressed that I was afraid that they tell me one thing, then the next unknowing Target employee comes in and gives them to the next person who asks. They told me to come in the next morning at 7am to get them. I get there at 730, but then they tell me they are street dated. I explained they arent street dated because I was able to purchase some at another Target. They finally admitted they werent street dated but they choose to sell them on 7/8. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was with Thanos. I went back a few days ago to check it out and sure enough............ they are still holding them. THANKFULLY!

I think you may have answered your own problem though. Target (pun intended) that particular store where the employee helped you out going forward. I try to stick to the same store because the employees aren't shady at all and generally very helpful. Plus scalpers don't tend to hit that one as much. Sometimes that means waiting an extra day or two, but it's much less hassle. If it's something I absolutely have to have, I'll put in a little more effort but that's generally my MO and it has worked out great in most cases.

Wow small world. I think my husband was in front of you this morning. He was telling me they only got in 2 Dobbys and he was 3rd in line but ended up getting it because the person ahead of him was just looking for the basilisk. Finally scored my Dobby this morning! Checked Brickseek around 7am, no new stores showing any stock. Checked again around 7:30 and BINGO! The Target closest to me shows stock of both Dobby and the Basilisk! Went as fast as I could go with my partner in tow (he doesn’t collect but loves the thrill of the chase) and we get to Target with about 15 mins to go before it opens. No one waiting by the doors so I am the first one to go in. Store opens and head straight to electronics - carts of boxes everywhere! We ask the guy working the section so he goes and asks someone working the boxes and she tells him where the Funko delivery is. He comes back with 4 Dobby’s and 3 Scrooge’s. We ask about the Basilisk and Mystery Minis but he hasn’t found them or seen them.

So off we go to another Target that is about 20 mins away. It is now almost 9 with fingers crossed. Get to the electronics area - again full of boxes - and we ask the guy at the counter if he has the new Harry Potter Pops in and he says yes! He had 3 Dobby’s, 2 Basilisk and a box of the regular Pops - no Mystery Minis. So I am now complete with my Pops for this wave except the SDCC ones, and over all only missing the Target and B&N Mystery Minis along with Umbridge and Crabbe from the regular set, and the Walmart Five Stars. It has definitely been a busy Funko Harry Potter few weeks for me.

Congrats yeah I just want those danm minis at this point but like yours they couldn't find the minis. And a couple other people said their targets said same think in our area.

Helped a friend get Dobby online this morning, but she got in too late for the basilisk. Hopefully they'll pop up again. LOL - she'd asked me to help her find 2. I was willing-ish, but wow I'm so relieved she got them online and I don't have to ship those house elves to her!

Was able to snag a dobby online yesterday. Also went to target and was able to get a 10" scrooge mcduck.

Feel like the online Target releases are the way to go for me. Usually strike out on in store Target releases, but was able to get Dobby, Basilisk, T-Rex, and Scrooge

I love Dobby and basilisk but I am in a barracks room with a room mate and no room. Even my mom said no room for her either.
