Re: What type of POP collector are you?
we have them all kinds of ways. I like most of mine oob unless its expensive, thens it's probably in a Pop! protector. my wife wife is totally "DONT TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX!!!" and then our kids are full on oob...Pops! everywhere. My son will probably have his favorite Pop from whatever he's playing sitting beside him while he plays a game. I know Reinhardt goes everywhere with that kid

Pops! I got LOTS now....but please don't tell!!!

Mystery Mini's....just 3. But working on that!!!

I am #4! I like to enjoy them out of box but I keep the super exclusive boxes in a closet

Re: What type of POP collector are you?
The ones I have room for I open and place the pop infront of the box with the side of the box with the art on it showing. Think it looks sharp displaying it that way. I have some in box I just don't have room for.

Technically 3, but the only OOB Pops I have are my Doctor Who Pops and the ones on my desk at work. Everything else is still in the box, and a lot of them are in Pop Protectors. My main line is Stranger Things and those are all in box and in protectors.

I gotta say I'm #3. The molds these days are pretty amazing and need to be displayed.

#2 for me. Sometimes I'll get a spare to display oob on my desk (i.e. giant Groot) but for the most part, all remain unopened...

I'm closest to #4, mainly Out of Box for display and toss the boxes because I don't have room to store. I keep some exclusives in box though.

I fall in between 3 and 4. I have a few POPs in box, mostly autographed one, but the vast majority is OOB, however I keep all of my boxes in storage.

#2 I like the way they look lined up in the box. But a few I bought OOB or with damaged boxes, but most of them are still in the box

I'm #3, a good mixture of both, but tend to leave the higher end ones and exclusives in the box. I let the commons breath!

Re: What type of POP collector are you?
I am definitely #2. Almost all of mine are in boxes and have not been opened. That is mostly because its so much easier to have my collection stacked against a wall. Makes a nice display. Im not against having them out of box but when you have 800 Pops like I do, its just easier to display and organize when you have the uniformity of the boxes.

I would say I'm #3. A lot of mine are out of their boxes on display, but I tend to keep my more exclusive ones in their box. I also do a mix of in and out of box displays.

I would say #2 but I do take some out to admire the detail. Plus, I would not know what the back looked like otherwise...

Some sets (about 200-300 pops) nicely arranged on shelves out of their boxes.
Everything I don't have shelf space for (like 650 pops omg!) is in every corner of the house (and occasionally car

#2 for me. And only really like 4 POPs are OOB. If I do OOB its going to be Dorbz. I want to let them breath...but...it's hard to put boxes away and keep inner plastic on file.

I’m # 1) the majority of my pops are from SDCC, never displayed out of the box or even opened. I just like to look at them. I enjoy collecting them.

2. Only because there are some pops that are too freakin crazy to keep in the box
Some of the best memories in life, can be made by simply taking a chance. I took a chance with Funko, and it has brought myself and my family fun and smiles for the past five years since.

#2 for sure. I buy doubles of molds I really like and OOB them. But I am inching my way towards 3-4 due to spacial restrictions

Re: What type of POP collector are you?
Somewhere between 2 & 3, myself.
I started out keeping everything in the box because I've always had a love for box art and the packaging itself. When I was younger, I'd keep the empty box of my action figures under my bed just so I could take it out and admire it from time to time. As time went on, I started to appreciate the little detail that went into every individual figure (not just Pops; this goes for all the lines I collect). They really are like mini works of art! Nowadays, the ones I'm either really excited for, or those that are super detailed, I'll take out of the box to appreciate. Some of the more simple designs, like Stranger Things, for example, I'll keep in the box. This also helps with display; because there's so many of them, I can stack the boxes on top of each other to cut back on shelf space, etc. Once out of the box, you lose that vertical display option, so it eats up space quicker. I really don't have any concern as to market value, as I don't plan on selling them, at least for quite some time, so OOB tends to work best for me from an appreciative collector's standpoint.

Im #1 for sure. I just think that looks the best display wise.
...but then i see collection pictures of OOB collectors and also looks super nice!
i think it comes down to cleaning for me. Way easier to clean going the #1 route.

The ones my husband really loves he buys 2 of. One for oob on his computer desk, one for in box on the shelf. And we aren't even in box collectors. Eventually they will all be oob, he just wants them on his desk
