New Walgreen's Exclusives- Iron Spider/Green Goblin(Update)

Ok, so I'm browsing ebay because just as I've said the 9 month wait is crap. So now I'm seeing some chases that bother me. Most for sale look just fine. BUT many I see have a neck showing. I mean the whole neck. My first thought was , ok the head just popped off/up. But then I think it wouldnt fit in the insert. Because Ive seen several that way, I doubt sellers are trying to "pull one". Any thoughts?

Well I have one of them with the GITD head, but I have been looking for an extra GITD version.

Do we know if a Walgreens will get more of the green goblin chase? The places I have been calling said it's always possible that it could come on their next truck. But do they restock on pops or is each store only given two chase figures?

I looked all over the San Jose area and struck out over and over. Finally found normal Green Goblin and Taskmaster. Still no Iron Spider or Chase GG. Then I found out a girl I'm seeing called all over, and found a Chase Green Goblin in Arizona and had a relative ship it over. I guess she likes me. =)

Well one store has been saying 6-9 for a looong time and every time I went in they always said they didnt receive any. Decided to check again today and saw a bunch of Deadpool on the shelf and one Taskmaster. Decided to pick up Deadpool just because. The set of 4 Marvel may be dried up for now...wait for more to come from China. PopCultcha says they will be back in stock on those in May, so maybe we will have to wait until then for Walgreens too.

I went on ahead, and traded a Cyborg, and 20 dollar in PP for a chase GG, since I cant find it anywhere. I have a felling im getting dupped. Ill have to wait until monday, to find out if it was a legit deal!

Haha I been so invested in these, I stopped collecting the titans. I left a Beastboy, and starfire behind about a week ago, all because I was trying to find Gobby :/

My main goal that day was to find the goblin, so after failing at finding him. I decided to hit up Tru, to see what they had, and they had robin,BB, and starfire xD

Wow, that's amazing. I ended up buying mine at premium price on ebay because they wouldn't be at any TRU anymore.

My Walgreens by my house still has 10+ according to the website, and that is where I found my chase goblin. If anyone has a couple extra beast boy, starfire or cyborg they want to trade I might be able to check my Walgreens for them.

Checked a couple walgreens last night, finally got a manager who was nice enough to check ware house stock.

Said they never even got any new ones in and the warehouses are showing out of stock with no date indicating when they will get more in to ship out.
It looks like these were under supplied this round since some stores got none or some walgreens ended up manipulating the system to get more (or they are high selling stores who just get a lot somehow).

I camw to the conclusion above since the WG corp toy rep steven anne said ALL stores would get a case on auto shipment regardless of current store stock.

Walgreens is no longer receiving cases of these. 2 of my walgreens split a case and they came in Totes. No chases either.

Luckily, I was able to find all four fairly quickly and easily back in Jan. The Chase though, yeah, not so much. I was excited and hopeful at first, ESPECIALLY seeing that stores were getting multiples. I quickly became saddened and disgusted though after my toddler and I went from store to store, striking out left and right. Striking out is't even the problem, it's the situation...Going to a store that recntly shows they went in stock to find them not out. Since stock was being put out, I figured I would politely ask about them only to be told that they weren't going to look, come back in the morning, we didn't get them, blah blah blah (one store manually changed their stock to Out Of Stock because they were tired of being asked as they were trying to put stuff away). That's fine. Whatever. I would just try again later. No big deal. WRONG! I swear, like every store that I went to, their stock changed within an hour. Enter sadness (and increasing frustration). After all my striking out, I checked out eBay...Enter disgust. Two people from my general area had multiple multiple MULTIPLE listings of him!!! Grr, what is wrong with people!?!? I'm slowly coming to terms that I'll never get him and it sucks.

I'm very well aware of that. Again, striking out isn't the problem, it's the situation, meaning shady people (flippers).

I still wish there was an explanation as to why these went out the way they did. 4 chases in a case? No chases in a case? Not a single anything to other stores? Is this on the Walgreens warehouse buyers. The category buyer, or even funko?

My frustration with the GG Chases is how they were shipped. It's crap that some stores got 4-8 in at once while other entire states (seems like) didn't get a single one.

Chases aren't supposed to be easy, but they're also not supposed to be distributed like that, imo

I think Funko and Walgreens are BOTH at fault. FUNKO for deliverately packaging them 4 Chase per case when theyve NEVER done this for any other POPs. Amd WALGREENS for the horribly POOR distribution of their product. This IS NOT the first exclusive they have had....the original Marvel set, as well as the Star Wars set has been out for a long time....long enough to know where the distribution mistakes were, etc etc. SHAME.....oh well.

4 chases per case was weird. Normally a chase shouldn't be easy to find. I think we are lucky to have them produce a chase at all! I understand it's frustrating not finding one. are people expecting to find one, as oppose to hoping to find one?

Seems like split cases are being shipped with chase pieces, so there is still an opportunity to find one.

I apologize if what I said came off defensive because I didn't mean it to! I just wanted to restate that I wasn't expecting it to be handed to me...LOL. I know Chases are rare and I was excited and ready for the hunt. I only collect MARVEL so I was really really REALLY excited! Just sucks that people buy them to make a quick dollar and that some employees are so crotchety and unwilling to help, even if you're polite as can be (I know they're busy and I respect that, but to flat out tell people "I'm not going to look. Come back tomorrow.", ouch!). And I do, I feel horrible for everyone who hasn't been able to find them, ESPECIALLY you! I'm surrounded by Walgreens and I think most stores never got them. A reason as to why would be great because it's complete bull! Hell, I never even saw a single Thunderbolts Punisher around here, so has this been an ongoing issue???

Thunderbolts pretty much went to just the coasts and maybe a few between, never made it to Illinois though. I checked the warehouse status daily when it was out and remained out of stock consistently. Winsdor warehouse is terrible, I have tried to get a hold of the purchaser several times but I have an old contacct and don't know who the new one is

Me either, and I've looked around the DFW area quite a bit. The only of the new set of exclusives I've seen anywhere is the GITD Spidey, and I've only seen one of him. I've seen TONS of chicken Deadpools though!

I found a set but i think it was an incredible stroke of luck. The first 2 weeks or so was when i noticed on the tracker that they popped up but i haven't really seem the stock change at all. I revisited the same spot where i got my set when it said 6-9 but it turned out it was all deadpools (last week).
