Strange licensing issue.

It seems really odd that a color variation is causing the license issue, it would make sense in a way since nothing has been said about the exclusives which are the same color as the common. At the moment it seems like a rumor, but look at the influence it's already had on sales...absolutely crazy

so nuts! trying to read everything to figure this out. at least its entertaining. too bad so hard on the company having to work around all this stuff.

I really hope there are no issues with the HT or walmart ones... they should be coming any day now. I would imagine at worst case, they are already made and will be able to sell what they have. Like how the chase is ...

I haven't even gotten the regular one yet. I need to get that ASAP just because I'm worried the whole thing might get pulled or something haha

I grabbed the regular and chase pops on Toy Wars just now. $46 shipped for the bundle

I saw that but I was worried if it would be fulfilled because it's a preorder.

Does Toy Wars normally cancel pre orders?

I'm not sure but I saw that as long as they had an order in before today they should receive their allotment so it should be fine.

this is odd...doesn't make sense from a licensing issue logically, but I have no idea what their agreement is so I won't speculate. I talked to funko and it's legit. The only reason I didn't get one (other than not grabbing it fast enough at HQ) was because it was kinda similar to regular version. o wells

Agreed. It seems pretty interesting that they didn't cancel the other mold as well. Licensing can be tricky, I guess. Good luck to those that are trying to find it.

I wonder if somewhere there's an "It Chase" that's already licensed as another product for another company so that's why they can't make it anymore. If the complaint had come sooner and they had a larger amount at the warehouse, they probably would have called an audible and made it a store exclusive (I could see ht).

Seems those vendors at Franks have already caught wind and selling at $225. Kinda sucks as most chases usually don't really get manufactured anymore either but are just not announced like Pennywise was, thus driving up the demand and the price.

YEs, Walgreens is where people have been finding them and prior to that a couple of weeks ago people were finding them at GameStop too.

If there is a scene in the movie that the chase was representing that happen to get cut out. That could change the license.

I read somewhere that this color variant was in a scene in the movie which was recently cut. Can't confirm that it's really why it was cancelled or not.

I was lucky enough to grab one last week on Amazon for 16$ shipped. I thought for sure the 3rd party seller would send a common, but low and behold the chase showed up.

In all honesty, the common one is much cooler looking with his yellow eyes. It's a great overall Pop with any paint. I'm just going to enjoy my common and wait for the HT and Walmart ones, which are actually different instead of just a different paint.
