I will understand if the batman Freddy is priced higher because of its popularity. I believe steve will price them accordingly.

Steve is providing this Aussie collector the ONLY chance to even hope to get anything Funday related...so quite frankly he can charge whatever the heck he wants, and I'd still be happy

I would not say the items were free at last night's event. There's theory for funday ticket, the time they spent waiting in line to get in, $ spent to park near the event, travel to get there (some funatics only went to fundays they were not able to get SDCC tickets). Even if you were some what 'local' there's still travel costs and then there's lodging.
Most of the SDCC area hotels were asking or a multiple night commitment. So at the very cheapest and only going to fundays someone probably spent $600-$1000 to attend fundays.
I dislike that people think that the items at fundays are free. There were many many reports last year of funatics walking out with just their box of fun. Nothing extra. I'm sure it's the same this year.

Perfectly put Lara. I feel the premium prices that the pieces are at on Gemini is a great deal since I didn't have to handle any of those expenses mentioned above. I hope to get to venture out there next year, but when I'm not able to go I'lll gladly pay for the pieces I want.

Okay maybe not free... but I get into sdcc free as a professional, I split my hotel cost 5 ways with friends, drove down from Burbank on half a tank of gas... so I paid $60 to get in. Compared to $200 for one freddy, its like free to me

That's what the $60 is for :p the box of fun consisted of 3 freddys.. so basically its worth like 4x more than everyone paid to get in... but the fundays experience is priceless

thought your first 60 was referring to you gas money + room split etc. I'm sure you'll have to eat and drink too.
