LE Denethor, not all LE sell out

Postby geekygent78 » Fri Apr 10, 2026 2:27 pm

I know everyone has discussed LE and the success they have. This pop is a demonstration of how the success of the LE is tied to the character's significance and the number of pieces available. I like the Lord of the Rings and this character is pretty cool because he was a psycho who almost killed his own kid and then took a swan dive down the mountain. A unique character for sure and a great addition to my collection.

Anyone else get him and not surprised he's not sold out yet?

Suprised it’s sitting too. Not a bad character.

I just think it depends on the genre of the pop for the sell out speed. If this was anime it would have been gone in under 10 minutes. I think the pop is cool but I passed on this one.

I agree. If it were an anime pop, especially something popular, it would have sold out instantly. For example, the Sung Jinwoo 9500 from Chalice. Sold out in minutes!

The pop is nice itself maybe if it was anime people would've bought right away but lord of rings may be a realm of the past for some

I think if Hudson from Aliens was 9500 piece; I don't think he would have sold out super fast either. I think it depends on the Genre and the piece count for the more obscure and/or side characters.

Agree with most replies. It all depends on the genre. People love LOTR but I feel they're not as crazy as anime people. And maybe anime just *works* better as a funko.

It's a great Pop! but that character, and I say this speaking as a LOTR collector across many lines/companies, I'd rather have him running out of the funeral pyre. You make that, common or LE, I'm all in. I'll say this, Funko nailed the essence of that character in this design.
