Limited drop thoughts?

I'm right there with you. If it was tracked from the original days, I'd have plenty, but I have to be selective about what I pick to go for. Totally fine with that, just a factor of collecting for me now.

I try to go to the site at least once a week to see surveys, etc. for extra points.

Anyone have issues with redeeming fan rewards points for early access? I don't see the option anywhere when I login into my account/fan rewards account.

It's a pros and cons thing. I like that there are limited Pops. I do not like that it attracts flippers and resellers. Even if a Pop is limited, I still only buy what I like.

It's kinda an odd feeling that you should be spending points to then have to spend money on something when you've already spend money accruing those points. Maybe if it's a higher piece item you need to spend the money? I'm not so sure if there's a perfect system here, but it just feels odd. I miss the older days of just a general LE item drop without this point jazz. Also, there's not much consistency on the point value of some of the redemption items it seems. I've hit on some of the items so far, so it's not like I've been burned, but the system just seems a bit awkward to me - though I am happy folks are able to get some coveted low count Funko items in their collections.

I remember when Funko was small enough they were throwing out protos from their booth at SDCC!

It's nice to know they are not going to release more stock and gives people an opportunity to interact with each other again with trading or just talking about how they got it or didn't I'm here for it

Back in my day, rare stuff became rare naturally and over time became valuable
There have been ones I like but I feel the whole system is silly where I have to pay significantly more for what is essentially a normal figure.
Seems like every one of the new LE pops sell out and its made me look at values of older LE items and you can get stuff that is rarer for less than retail in some cases. Idk it's just weird but it keeps excitement so it's fine I guess

I think it's going to be around for a while. The collectors of the hobby like the numbers, it helps maintain scarcity and will help the pop maintain its value or appreciate as it gets older. I think its a great idea. It helps encourage trading/selling, draws a new collector that enjoys limited pieces, and generates buzz. Which seems to be doing good since we're talking about it. Is it hard to get, yes. I've got my hands on maybe four of all the limited releases but I enjoy the hunt as a funko collector.

I enjoy the limited drops and it sucks that you need points to get early access buy if your buying you pops from Funko then you should get first shot at the exclusive pops just like going to a convention you pay the money to go so you have the opportunity to get the exclusive pieces from the show so I'm all for it and they have other ways to get points without buying from them like that they have that option for people on a budget
