oh yeah, i was saying this in an earlier post...the chill and easy drops are done with. its gotten mainstream and now with the big name licenses, its only going to heat up more so. all we can do is try at this point

Bingo! I wouldn't be surprised if non-Funko collectors (sneaker sellers) jump on this train seeing the pricing on physicals. It's going to get ugly today.

To dive into the nft world. Good for funko, bad for the secondary market

I think after the initial hype it will settle down, not everyone likes to gamble. After a few loser packs, they may give up. The flippers are not going anywhere though. They are way too motivated.

It's possible to create flippers, it's an easy thing to flip. No one asking if the packaging is mint.

I will never understand buying aftermarket, it just encourages the 2nd market to stay around. However, I think that just means I am a more casual collector than others. I simply just go without. And when I lost my job I was thankful for a 2nd market to help pay for my health insurance.

Those epics can fetch enough for a pack in some cases. Better luck next time bud.

That's the second half of the gamble, once you're done opening packs when do you break down and buy your set or redeemables. ..

Got pretty lucky. Out of my six standards and four premiums I pulled the grail and a Charlie. The grail was from one of my first standards, then had a long drought, and pulled Charlie on the very last card.

The wait times were crazy, but I knew this drop would have increased traffic due to the TMNT physicals arriving. The after market is not looking great either. Think I'm going to sell Scooby and try to get the other legendaries in the next few days. Hopefully prices go down.

I did well again, pulled the Grail and a Snow Ghost plus most of the Epics. I always go standard packs, I've opened a few premiums with only commons and uncommons and that stings too much haha

Ended up getting 6 standard packs and hit only 3 epics. Left a bad taste in my mouth, so I bought 1 standard and 2 premium packs on atomic. Hit the grail on the 2nd premium Probably won't go for royalty since I'm missing so many epics.

This drop was nice to me, but not the wallet! I pulled Redbeard from a premium and Snow Ghost from a standard. SUPER excited to add these to the collection!

I managed to get 6 premium, and got a decent stack of epics, and one witch doctor. I sold him to get a premium nick and 2 standard scoob packs... Got a couple more epics, but my nick gave me another chuckie legendary... Hoping to turn that around into another pack. There's just a) too many people trying for these now to either flip or strike gold, and b) too many nfts in the set to realistically attempt a royalty when you can only get a couple packs.

Additionally droppp is looking into how to "prevent people from using multiple browsers" which is like the only way to get any queue at all... If this becomes one of those things where you can only buy $60 of packs, there is no way you are getting anywhere near completing a royalty, and there won't be a point. It's fun to rip and hope for the best, but I have terrible luck compared to other people who buy less. And if I only have 2 packs, I'm not getting ANYTHING, . I typically don't see my first redeemable for 4-5 packs.

Opened my 2nd Premium and got Snow Ghost and Charlie the Robot. So 3 redemptions total out of 2 Premium packs, makes up for the Transformers loss at least. Now I need to decide if I want to sell a Legendary so I can try to complete Royalty (probably would have to use all my spare Wax, too).

Yeah that happened to us with star trek we got super lucky with all legendaries and the grail from 3 premium packs.
