Seems to be going that way with TF, but there were less standards then the Scooby drop

I'm scared to see what after market will be and nothing would shock me less... the physical after market prices may have convinced people who were holding off figuring out nfts into finally putting in the effort, and also we may see even more resellers join the game. I'm just hoping for some luck today!

I agree, but hopefully it isn't too bad but I have very little hope . Keep them low so I can be less disappointed or pleasantly surprised.

Hushhhhhhhh why did it have to be Scooby? I've been watching the tmnt physicals go up and stay up and it's honestly higher than i thought originally. It's definitely drawing more attention.

I think after the initial hype it will settle down, not everyone likes to gamble. After a few loser packs, they may give up. The flippers are not going anywhere though. They are way too motivated.

I think after the initial hype it will settle down, not everyone likes to gamble. After a few loser packs, they may give up. The flippers are not going anywhere though. They are way too motivated.

While I would normally agree I also thought after market pop prices would fall during the pandemic.... clearly I was wrong so I'm prepared to be wrong again. I do think it only takes one string of bad luck for someone to be totally out off by the nfts, and I completely agree. I hate when it happens to collectors but the resellers not so much .

It's hard to tell, and I honestly don't know if we would be able to tell. It seems no matter what the NFT's for Funko sell out (Bob Roos was just bad timing with the documentary). So as long as they are selling out it will be hard to tell how the everyday person is buying. If the flippers get more motivated that may be easier to spot.

I think this is how alot of people view NFTs, it's hard to invest with no "real" benefit. You can sell your cards even if they don't have redeemables. You can probably make your money back if you get a few epics. Good luck if you end up trying!

Understanding actual NFT's and their relation to Crytpo currency is a 2-hour documentary.

For Funko NFT's we can ignore the larger scam and I think it's safe to say you understand them. You pay $10 for a pack of 5 or $30 of a pack of 15 and then hope you get the physical redemption pop. It is essentially gambling to get a physical pop. Some people love it and others don't.

On a larger aspect then people sell and buy on the secondary market to complete the NFT set to get another physical pop. At the end of the day it's not cheap.

Personally I am only in it for the redeemables... I know that is not how everyone is,but for me I collect enough things to not need to add a digital collection. Also crypto is super intimidating to me and my husband basically had to walk me through setting up a good way to buy wax.

I am not a huge gambler by nature (outside buying a few sodas to try for a chase) and it's a totally new arena. There are a lot of people who aren't funko collectors buying and selling these which adds a whole other element. I don't think it's necessarily an age thing, just more of risk vs reward and people who tend to lean a bit less optimistic like myself are hesitant. I'm jumping in on this one and I'm hoping I don't get burned.

It's also the wildcard of non-Funko collectors that changes it, people who follow nfts go after these for resale and just take advantage of the collectible aspect... that will always keep the nft Funkos somewhat expensive, even the least popular.
