But it keeps the hunt alive!

That’s true and it’s the best part of Funko. “The Hunt” ;-)

Secure it before sodas suddenly have a resurgence and they become hard to get lol

I totally hope and agree if that happens and I’ll start hunting once again next month. [-o<

I think this might be it for me.

Marvel was making every single character and just made it too expensive when you tried to get every character along with their chases. Plus the con LE were a little too high for my liking as well.

Sometimes I wonder if some of these lines went away because the properties or rights were owned by Mike and Brian? Or maybe that’s just my tin hat.

Hmm that could certainly be a factor but I don’t think funko would struggle to acquire them themselves

Interesting theory. I think Sodas end up becoming Fundays exclusives.
Funko interests:
-Ewok Pops!
-Mortal Kombat Pops!
-TMNT sodas
-Funko tees

I think it was a mix of overproduction and weaker character choices. Early on the Soda line felt fresh and the chase pog system was really fun, but once there were a ton of releases the demand just wasn’t there for all of them. A lot started hitting clearance, which probably killed the momentum.

It’s a shame because it really was a cool concept outside the normal Pop line.

This was one of my favorites out of the regular POP line. But as others mentioned overproduced, rando characters, and just felt overwhelming. I do wish the line was still around and released in smaller batches with more popular characters.

What's interesting for me is that, I go into it really late. Next thing i know the sodas were no longer being produce.
