Price's Funko Galleria

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got a spring. Come inside and chat about Funko Wacky Wobblers (bobble heads, for the less sophisticated).

To be honest, Dennis, many of us "old timers" have seen much of this stuff before. Maybe not altogether or in such quantities, but here and there over the years - or given out at various Fundays or other events. Many of these pieces come from the collection of us "old timers," so they've been discussed before and photos posted. Don't forget, there were other Funko boards long before this one with collectors whom we haven't heard from in years.

Price and his dad have indeed put together a spectacular collection in a relatively short period of time. I'm proud to have helped if only in a small way as well. But I simply don't check out this and the other "wobbler dance" types of threads as often as I used to do. Frankly, a lot of it's become just "stuff" to me and when I come to the board (or attend FDO or FFD) it's to hang and chat with my pals or to find out what's new coming down the pipeline. I do agree with Keith though on this: I'm far more excited for someone when they get their first Vegas Freddy than when they get their second dozen.

Must be hard to swallow that a 9 year old has amassed an awesome collection of rare pieces in such a short time. Price has so many things that I think most people on here have never seen or even knew existed. Great job Price. Keep on buying!!!! =D> =D> =D>

I completely agree with Ray. Being a Dinosaur myself, I belonged to the very first Funko Forum and knew many of the collectors who's collections have been bought up by the "army". Good luck in your conquest of everything Funko Price! Soon you will own everything rare and you will be the only Funko collector! Have you hit 15,000 pieces yet?

Impressive, indeed.

Again, just curious. About how many of the 100,000 are not duplicates / extras?

Well this was my first time here in the kids zone and I am impressed with Prices collection! I was once wanting everything but like someone said after awhile it is just stuff. I am only collecting what I really like anymore. I can't wait to see more pics of his collection!
This must be way way bigger than The Museum by leaps and bounds! I wish they lived closer to the west coast. In my years of collecting, since 2000 I have never seen such a great funko collection like this. I hope to see more Price, keep up the good work!

The Museum has never been about size. The name was coined by Brian because there were pieces in the collection that Funko did not have any longer. It was more about the history of Funko products than about the quantity of pieces. It only takes one a single Lefty Lime to complete a Funny Face set. Hoarding 30 of them is just a lesson in greed, something Otto preached here time and again. Where is the line between "collection" and "warehouse"?

This was a fun time in funko history. Todd was traveling the country finding extremely rare items. It was amazing to see the stuff he would come up with. At this time some of the things he found had only been talked about and rarely seen.

Wow, this would have been an amazing collection to see in person. I'm strictly a pop collector myself, but I still would have loved to see it. I would if Price has gotten into collecting anything else since this time.

I commend you on your collection, um, I mean army. =D> It is truly impressive, to say the least. Any Funatic would be in awe of the shear magnitude of it, along with respecting the effort to acquire so many rare pieces. I would love to someday see the full layout and the pictures.

My only words of advice is that collecting all or most of a single item automatically means that many, many others will never have a chance to own that item...even one of them. That can be discouraging to old time collectors, as well as new Funatics who may not have a bankroll & loving parents who grants their wishes, regardless of the costs. If you collect 30 or more of a 48 series, that means that you are limiting the amount of people who can likewise own such an item.

Just a thought, and ultimately it is up to you & your family. I am thrilled to see someone so happy to collect Funko, really. In the end, though, this is a community of Funatics. Community is about sharing interests, fostering the love of that subject, as well as helping others who are trying to fulfill their dreams and goals. Hoarding, well, seems a bit selfish.

Be well, enjoy your Funko (that is why we are here), and congratulations on your...army. :sunny:

Good for him if he is able to buy them all!
