Re: Has anyone done the pop in a box??
I really like it, but I've only gotten one box from them so far.
I did the 12 pop subscription, and I had a pretty good variety of stuff. I got a bunch of Disney, Super Mutant, Goliath, Uncle Rico, Cigarette Smoking Man from X-Files.. They were all packed with great care too and arrived in near perfect condition. Next box should be coming in 2-3 weeks or so. My first one shipped on the 4th and arrived on the 13th.

It's going to be my first time but I heard it's pretty good. Just a bit of advice, when you subscribe make sure to search the pops that you want and give them a thumbs up so the system can make sure those are the pops you want and have a better chance at getting them.

This is my second month doing it!
IT's really cool because you can specify which ones you don't want, ad what you do have so you pretty much guarentee getting one from a collection you want

On a purely dollar-by-dollar basis, is there any economic benefit aside from the novelty of receiving random POPs? The average pop I buy from Hot Topic (promotion), EB Games or Amazon is around $11 Canadian dollars

Got my first shipping notice yesterday $AU 32.50 for two shipped. That was with the 30% off Black Friday deal though. I selected to get six but was very fussy over what I wanted, and selected a bunch of rare and retired POPs simply in hope. Time will tell

I guess for me it comes out cheaper than if I went to a store and bought them, unless I have coupons or the store is running some kind of promotion. I'm in the US though. I do the 12 POP subscription, and it's $107.99 (before shipping), so just about $9 each.

The shipping is what has stopped me so far from doing it. You can often get free shipping buying elsewhere and unless we're talking about something rare, this service is more expensive to me. I like the novelty and if you're obsessive about keeping your want list current, probably works out better in the long run. I guess it's a matter of where you want to spend your time...driving around to stores looking for what you want, or going through the list on the site and updating your want list. I imagine there's a big one time commitment and then from there it's just maintenance. Can save you money on gas too!
I may have just talked myself into it...

The gas saving is a big plus for me. I put that I'm in Charlotte but I'm really about 40-45 minutes outside of it. There's no shopping here except Family Dollar and Walmart. Oh, and a Walgreens that never stocks POPs.
If it's any consolation, the shipping is pretty reasonable for how they pack. $4.99, and my entire order was packed in boxes inside of a box with double bubble wrap. They really went the extra mile to ensure they arrived in excellent condition.
I've pretty much thumbed down everything except Disney at this point, so I'm hoping for a Disney box this month

yeah, I refused to spend more than 20 on ebay for thunderbolt punisher, but I've probably spent more than that just on gas trying to find him in the wild. Dumb!

I wish they would take Paypal. I really like the concept, but many people over here (myself included) don't have credit cards
They could make a lot more from my country alone if they took that into account imo. (looking at you too, Hot Topic)
