Horror Mystery Minis Series 2

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Horror Mystery Minis Series 2

Postby Brettacular » Sun Sep 28, 2014 5:49 pm

Hey All!

I haven't found any article talking this through yet.

I have high hopes that Funko will be making a Horror Mystery Minis Series 2. If you hear anything out there about this happening or rumors share it here!

In the meantime, let's just say this is happening. What are some of the minis that you would like to see?

Here's my list of a few must sees in a second series...

Pinhead (Hellraiser)
Pumpkinhead (Pumpkinhead)
The Fisherman (I Know What you Did Last Summer)
Grudge (The Grudge)
Leprechaun (The Leprechaun)
The Werewolf (An American Werewolf in London or Silver Bullet or Trick r' Treat)
Samara (The Ring)
Monster Tree or Clown in the Chair (Poltergeist)
Jack Torrence (The Shining)
Norman Bates (Psycho)
Jaws (Jaws)
Cujo (Cujo)
Demon (The Exorcist)
Victor Crowley (Hatchet)
Deadite (Army of Darkness)
Bad Ash (Army of Darkness)
Any creature from The Thing

Based on what we've seen if the do another run I'd say it would contain pinhead, nosferatu, cthulhu, the crow, deadite, and maybe the universal monsters

Some great choices there! I'd add Candyman, as well.

I am also hoping we get a Horror Classics Series 2. So many possibilities! From the way they sold [and still do when they are actually in stock] around these parts, I think the demand for a second series is high. Can't wait to see what happens.

- The Creeper (Jeepers Creepers)
- Damien Thorne (The Omen)
- Peter (Dawn of the Dead)
- RJ McReady (The Thing)
- Shaun Riley (Shaun of the Dead)
- Herbert West (Re-Animator)

I didn't really care for the designs of the first series. But, I'd love to see the Universal Monsters.

Herbert West, Jack Torrence, Norman Bates, Jaws, and the Cryptkeeper would all be must-buys for me. I'd also like to see:

David (The Lost Boys)
Brundlefly (The Fly)
The Thing in the Crate (Creepshow)
A Graboid (Tremors)
A Gremlin
The Blob
A Sharknado (loved the POP)

I neglected the Horror Minis for a long time, but I've picked up a few to get into the Halloween spirit, and now I want more.

The Sharknado Pop is quite cute. For sure.

Tremors is awesome, but I am not sure if a Graboid would be a good Mini...though a to-scale Pop of one could be cool.

I want Gremlin and a Gizmo.
Candyman could be cool.
Darkman...not sure if that's classified as Horror or Sci-Fi or something else entirely.
The Plant from Little Shop of Horrors.

So many great suggestions now we just need Funko to confirm with all of us that this will happen! :)

It's almost Halloween now would be a great time to announce a series 2...

Love the thing from the crate suggestion from Creepshow, that would be fantastic!

Hey all!

I found an interview with FUNKO designer Reis O'Brien talking about the walking dead series 3 and then a brief mention that he is currently working on the next series of the Horror Mystery Minis!!!

Check it out here at dailydead.com...

I was so happy when series 2 of Horror and Sci-Fi were announced today. I am really interested to see who we get in Horror series 2. I don't know who they'd put in. Maybe Pinhead and the Crow could be in there??

I'll tell you what I'd love to get though......JAWS the shark! If they are putting Daryl's motorcycle in the Walking Dead minis, surely they could make the shark from Jaws for the Horror minis.

Ash (non chainsaw arm, with shotgun)
Deadite
Pumpkinhead
Jeepers Creeper
The Crow
Pinhead
JAWS Shark (Bruce the shark)
Jason X
Tiffany
Sam (without mask)
NES Freddy
Gremlin
Gizmo
Jigsaw (from Saw with robe and mask)

I was really excited to hear there will be a second series of Horror Minis. I really curious who will be in the set, since the first series had a lot of the big names. I'd like to see Pinhead and The Creeper, but I'll gladly take any and all in the set.

Man, I love the horror minis. I can easily think of three waves worth of characters that I'd love to see:

The Classics: The Phantom of the Opera, Quasimodo, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, The Wolfman, Frankenstein's Bride, Gill-Man, Mole Person, Jekyll/Hyde, Nosferatu, Norman Bates

And two waves worth of somewhat more modern horror icons:

Candyman, Jack Torrence, Pumpkinhead, Jeeper Creeper, Stripe (Gremlin), The Miner, Carrie, Damien Thorne, The Crow, Beetlejuice, Regan, Pinhead, Slither Grant

American Werewolf, Dracula (Oldman), Frankenstein (De Niro), Mummy, Headless Horseman, Evil Ash Deadite, Samara, Zombie Bub, Queen of the Damned, Leprecaun, Critter, Dr. Decker, Annie Wilkes

That's the majority of the Horror icons I'd love to see join Series 1.

Edit: Forgot to work Edward Scissorhands and Tiffany (Chucky) in there.
Wanted Minis: Stone Zuul/Terror Dog, Grady Twins, Scarred Chucky, GITD Pennywise, Zombie Ed, Guitar Crow, B&W Alfred Hitchcock, Spider Leg Pennywise, Henry Bowers, FYE Eddie, FYE Beverly, HT Bill, HT Ben

I was just checking this thread to see if anyone had heard of these from Toy Fair. Very excited - my horror mystery minis are my favorite set. I'm hoping we'll get Pinhead and Nosferatu in series 2. I'd also love to see mini versions of the universal monsters, and some more Stephen King villains like Carrie, Annie Wilkes and Jack Torrance.

Well now that I see them, I'll have to make sure I nab a Nosferatu, Pinhead, Frankenstein, Creature and Hitchcock. Possibly the werewolf, although I would've preferred the Universal werewolf to American Werewolf in London.

I'm guessing these will come out around Halloween time -- any official word?

I love the special effects makeup in American Werewolf in London - it was innovative and absolutely the best transformation sequence in a horror film. But I have a special place in my heart for the universal monsters, so to me, the universal werewolf is the best.

I'm not sure what I think about these, yet. Some of these are great, but some seem out of place. The first set contained a heavy dose of darker characters. More of the wave 2 concepts seem funny. I was expecting characters from Carrie, The Exorcist, The Grudge, The Ring, The Shining, etc., instead of Gremlins, Edward Scissorhands or Beetlejuice.

Don't get me wrong, I'll buy every one of them! I just hope that Funko surprises me when these are released. :-/

I tend to agree with you. For example - although I love Edward Scissorhands, it doesn't feel like a horror movie in my opinion. It's more of a fantasy film.

I like this wave better than the first one. The first one was mainly slasher films and this one has more sci-fi/comedy horror. I am definitely going to need Shawn and Ed.

I like the blend of classic horror and comedic horror in this wave. I'll definitely want all of these, especially David, American Werewolf, and Beetlejuice. The Fly is a great inclusion as well!

I hope we see future waves, because I'd love to get more classics to accompany Nosferatu and Frank and latter generation icons like Candyman and the (Jeeper) Creeper.
