They could have easily made a Kermit re-paint with a mole on his face, and something else to set him apart from the original.
The whole premise of the new movie is there's a copy-cat kermit...so having a slightly different kermit would make sense.

I guess that could be an easy custom...take the new boxed kermit and paint a black splotch on his face, and pair him with the original figure.

I think they are re-releasing the figures because the originals are pretty much scarce to find.
