I would double-check with you local HT because the limit of three doesn't typically apply to blind boxes as the whole point is to buy a bunch.

Sorry you didn't get Crow or Ed, but that Gremlin is way cool!

My HT called to let me know they just got in 2cases. Since I'm already 1/12 cases into these, i asked them to hold the top layer from one case for me. Hope to pick them up Wednesday

Finally just broke down and ordered a loose Pinhead from a 3rd party seller. From what I spent buying from 3 cases to get him and winding up with so many rare doubles, I could have just bought him directly. Live and learn for Series 3 I guess.

Damn, I don't need mine that bad, maybe I should unload him to recoup some losses.

EDIT: So I just took a look at the eBay listing. I swear 90% of the people don't know how to at all. I also think that pic taken is intentionally with him laying down. If you look take his feet, they're offset. I think it's just like mine with the right leg improperly attached and won't stand.

Drove over to GS on my lunch to look at their "new" case. Turned out it had already been picked through and they just stacked 5 boxes on top of the 3 that were on the bottom layer. I just turned around and walked right back out.

My GS got a new case in today, and I was hoping for the one with Cthulhu in the back right, and Crow in the front right. When I realized there was no Cthulhu in that spot, I started feeling the front right box, figuring if it wasn't GITD Cthulhu, I would end up with Pinhead. It wasn't GITD, but it wasn't Pinhead either!!

So, does anyone know the rest of the case lay out that has B&W Hitchcock in the front left?

EDIT: If anyone has an extra regular Cthulhu or regular Crow and needs GITD Cthulhu, Fly, or B&W Hitchcock....PM ME!!!

Assortment C gave me Edward, David, Hitchcock, frankensteins monster, the fly, creature from the black lagoon, gitd Cthulhu, nosferatu, beetlejuice, Shaun, Ed and stripe. Didn't pay attention to placement though :/ front right of assortment e or f (forgot which...) wielded a gitd Cthulhu as well. These are regular retail assortments....
Just need Pinhead, werewolf, b&w Hitchcock and the crow

I've been working on my Mystery Mini collection collage and here's what I have so far:

Some of the photos are a bit cruddy in quality, but otherwise I'm happy with how it turned out! I've got the last two commons from Series 2 coming in the mail, but I wanted to share this since it is Halloween soon!

Anyone have the full set from Series 1 and 2? That would be cool. I like the variants, but I'm very happy with what I've got.

Awesome looking collage there ShyGuyPal! Anytime I see a grid format like that, it makes me pine for a Horror Fighting Game akin to Smash Bros. or PS All-Stars. I know the legal rights issues would be a nightmare, but it would be so worth it.

Also, FINALLY nabbed that pesky Pinhead! He arrived today and I gotta say, looks even more amazing in person than in picture.
On to hunting down Godzilla and the 3 remaining Fallout Minis

Went to Hot Topic tonight and grabbed 5 from the top row (one was missing) and walked away with a 3D Glasses Gremlin, Nosferatu, Alfred Hitchcock (reg), The Fly and the ZOMBIE ED!!!!!!! I didn't touch the bottom row. I probably have all of those anyways.

Hello, I received a gremlin in one of my boxes and his right ear is not painted yellow. Has anyone ever seen an error like this in the past? Does this make it especially valuable or does an error just mean I have my own one-of-kind variant. I attached a pic.

How does the guy selling 8 boxes know the other 4 were the rare ones? I have bought 3 cases myself and puled from 2 other boxes on the shelf and all 5 had different layouts. 2 of the cases I bought had all of the rares on the bottom and I read here that most were always on the top so that was a huge surprise?

My 3 full Hot Topic cases were fresh. One store case the fly, Crow and popcorn were on top and Chtula was on the bottom. 2 from the other store had Hot Topic Crow, Nosferatu, Popcorn, and Fly all on the bottom. The other had Popcorn on top and werewolf, Crow, and Chtula on bottom. I'm Canadian though so perhaps we are always weird. Looking for comments on my error Gremlin post above too.

So you took them out of the sealed, plain cardboad box (not the display box)? If you didn't, there's still a chance that an employee or customer played around with the box placement, not intentionally, just checking them out by feeling weight or looking a packaging.

That's possible but not likely. The cardboard top around the box looked untouched and I called them as the shipment came in and they were still sitting in the back and never even hit the shelves as they held for me. Plus it makes no sense for a female employee who could care less to mix up 4 boxes from the top to the bottom in the hour span it took me to drive to the store in 2 different cases.

My chtulu has one eye painted. Glad it's the regular one and not the gitd. Should be easy to just buy another one that has both eyes painted

New guy here, joined the board specifically because I love these horror minis. Where I live, we're generally last to get new things, so I mostly use eBay to get what I want. I'm curious what the board's stance is on exclusives/rarities. I've been an action figure collector for years and years, and have always taken an anti-anything-that-makes-getting-product-more-difficult stance, and I'm especially upset about the practice of making highly-desired characters (like Pinhead) the hardest to procure. To me, exclusives and "chase" figures should only ever be variants, not a character you can't get any other way. Is this too controversial an topic, am I out of line, or am I generally in alignment with others' views on this?

No, I agree with you to an extent. While I'd certainly prefer chase figures to only be variants (looking at you Rocketeer...oh wait, I'm not looking at my Rocketeer figure because I STILL don't have one yet), I'm sure the chase does drive sales.

If all chase figures were only metallic, bloody, or GITD...there might be a risk of people not wanting to keep going...of not buying that ONE more box hoping to pull the big one.
