Sci-Fi Minis

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

This series pulled me into collecting Mystery Minis! I bought one random pack a month ago and pulled Predator, and I love the way he looks. I bought four packs from a fresh case a week ago, and I got Predator (darn), Captain Mal, Jayne, and Metaluna Mutant. Overall I'm very happy with those pulls.

I really love these minis. I hope I can track down most (if not all) of these before the next wave hits.
Wanted Minis: Stone Zuul/Terror Dog, Grady Twins, Scarred Chucky, GITD Pennywise, Zombie Ed, Guitar Crow, B&W Alfred Hitchcock, Spider Leg Pennywise, Henry Bowers, FYE Eddie, FYE Beverly, HT Bill, HT Ben

Yeah, I got hooked with the sci fi minis and now am on a quest for the walking dead minis. I just got my large size 7" Funko AMC prison guard..super cool! This is a 7" model of the mini, it's a monster!

I'm so glad there will be a second series of Sci-Fi Minis. I can't wait to hear more news about them. I really hope the B-9 makes the cut this time. And more Star Trek too.

Yeah, it was the last figure I needed and I just bit the bullet and bought it off eBay. The seller ended up being only 2 hours away, and I paid what I wanted to for it.

I love those 7" TWD guys. So sad Funko has no plans to do more at that size :(

Thanks to one of my favorite Canadian brothers, I was able to add these too my collection last year (?)...

Where can you buy specific individual mystery mini's? Just the usual auction sites?

Yup. There's also a Trading Post here once you meet the sales area posting criteria. People post up their duplicates for sale (FS) or for trade (WTT, willing/want to trade).

I just need a Mars Attacks Martian to complete the set, having a rough time finding one. I should have bit when I saw some reasonable prices, he seems a bit more expensive on ebay now.

Give it some time. Usually when the minis first come out the prices are insane but they'll come down in price.

Also didn't realize you were collecting these Craig. Congrats on completing the set!

I have a few to trade, but a few months away from the required posts. I'm hoping for some Star Trek TNG in series two.

I usually shy away from paying ebay prices. However, the result is that I usually never end up getting the complete set. This time however I pulled the Mars attack martian Jayne and normal alien in my first pull, and then Mal and clear predator in my second. After that I was obsessed with getting the Rocketeer and completing my first set, since that was the only rare one left. I got it eventually, but the amount I paid on singles I should have just paid the ebay price (nobody wanted to trade for it). The lesson to this story...there is none.

I'm really looking forward to the clear Predator. I actually haven't gotten any Predators yet, and I kind of want them all. (I'm a slow collector. I only have 4.)

My fiancee scored these at Target! apparently, all the boxes were open and she snagged both of them! She had NO idea the 2nd box had the Clear Predator as she just grabbed it and left! :D

Yeah, I may have said this in an earlier post, but there is not a single figure in this set that I am displeased with (with the exception of ET, because he can just go die), even the ones I least expected to like. There is no bad pull from these (except et, see previous sentence) only awesome pulls for getting a chase.

I like ET too, but I bought ten pack from various stores and half of them were ET. I have seven now and nobody wants them. Most comic stores have a trade figure, one thats open that you can trade whatever figure you got in the pack for, and with the Sci Fi minis its always ET. I just....just hate him so much.

Just got into these about a month or so back when I ran across them at Target. I had previously pondered buying the Horror mini's but never pulled the trigger, but then when I saw Predator's I knew I had to take the plunge.

Here is my haul so far:

Image

Robby the Robot was my first pull, and two days later I went back and pulled Spock and a Tron (which I ended up trading for the Judge Dredd) The Mutant was my first "rare" pick and I was stoked to get him because I actually have pictures of myself next to the actual mask from that costume at Universal Studios.

Then I visited a friend in Virginia, and pulled the regular Predator, bloody Predator, and Alien (also traded him Dredd for Tron) Rocketeer came next, and then I just pulled Robocop this past weekend.

I am pretty happy with my pulls overall, though I am not a Star Trek fan and would be very happy to trade off Spock for pretty much anyone not named ET, and I was never much for The Rocketeer, so I would probably trade him if the deal was right. (if anyone has an extra Mars Attacks Alien, HIT ME UP!!)

I am still hoping to find the Metallic Alien, clear Predator, the Firefly characters, and my biggest want is the Mars Attacks Alien.

Can't wait to see what Series 2 holds!!

EDIT: It seems my bloody Predator is getting cropped out of the pic...oh well!!

Nice collection! The Rocketeer is a lucky pull. I've gotten several Metaluna Mutants, Bloody Predators, and Xenomorph variants and I've never gotten a Rocketeer. Good job!
