BOF 2024 Sodas!

Hey folks!

What are your thoughts on this year's BOF Sodas?

Love both the Proto and Freddy in their pirate getup.

Definitely wish we got our first Franny Soda and/or more soda sculpts out of the BOF generally!

Definitely looking forward to the future BOFs with the hopes they will continue to carry sodas!

It’s really fun when Funko makes Freddy as different characters like they did with the Sodas last year — Freddy as Darth Vader, Freddy as Thor, Freddy as Leonardo, etc. But the downside is when I get a Freddy in my box representing a fandom I don’t collect. As someone who admires but doesn’t collect Sodas, I like the simplicity they brought this year with basically just two Sodas — Pirate Freddy and Pirate Proto — that have different variants of different rarities and both perfectly fit the theme of Fundays this year. I feel like anyone who appreciates Funko can appreciate either, regardless of their fandoms! (I agree that a Pirate Franny Soda woulda been epic!)

I really enjoyed the sodas with Freddy and Proto but where was Franny! I was sure we would at least get a soda if not a pop of her. As for the sodas, I've always been a fan of the metallic/glow pieces so it was nice seeing a metallic version. The solid color variants are kind of hit and miss for me at times.

As dragontree mentioned.. The variety of characters we got last year in soda form was amazing. So a balance between the Fundays themed Freddy and other character Freddy would be great.

Did anyone open up the sodas? The metallic shine is pretty awesome. We only pulled gold and blue in person, I imagine the red looks really sweet too.

The sodas were great this year. I'm glad that they were still present for this con and Fundays. Only problem is that the chase to collect them all might get pretty expensive with the low LE counts.

I was hoping to get the black and white Proto soda in my at home box and i did! Super happy with that pull. Proto is so cute in soda form!

I like the pirate Freddy and Proto sodas, debating on completing the sets or not. I brought home two from fundays (the metallic is really nice) and am waiting to see the versions in the at home box. Part of me wants to get all the proto variants for Chris.

I quite like the sodas! I don't plan to go after all of them, but the gold ones specially I think look really nice. I haven't seen out of can pics of either of the backlights, curious to see those!

Wish there was a little more variety other than different colorways...could've been lots of cute ideas- for example Freddy as Sloth or Freddy as Jack Sparrow to keep with the pirate theme. Would've also loved to see Franny make her soda debut- Franny as "Redd the Pirate" would've be gorgeous. But on the other hand I'm glad they kept it simple so I only had to get 1 colorway mold.

I’m glad there was only one soda in the BOF this year (despite my love for sodas). In my opinion, this reduced the likelihood of damage within the box itself.

I like them. I think it's a fun way to include additional items in the box. Plus I have more than a few friends who try to complete the entire series of them (so it gives something to chase for those completionists out there).

I like sodas in the box but imo it was a weaker element of the box. pirate freddy and proto was a good idea, as was the gold versions but I didn't care for the miscellaneous colors. I didn't understand the theme, like is it red/blue because its a gem from treasures? IDK

We did!! The red ones are sweet, a bit darker then I initially thought they would be. I personally love the gold ones!! I need to hunt down the proto to match his freddy counter-part!

I got the gold one and don’t wanna open it.

After its all said and done, this was something I was surprised at. I was hoping Funko would have thrown in at least one pop or soda for Franny. I love the Freddys already but sometimes Freddy gets lonely and needs his family,
