For sure they're doing something a little different, allowing reedemable with your NFT purchase and it's limited. I was against it from the beginning or rather decided I wasn't going to partake in it but Funko changed my mind. It's part of the fun now.

What changed your mind?

I have to say Adventure Time release because I really wanted the Pops there like Lady Unicorn and Freddy as Jake. Felt like it'll only be available from NFT release. Huge fan of the show so I dived in...

Totally agree. I am surprised with all the movies and shows that they haven't released NFTs.

I think they've had some mixed success with some of their other big name franchises like Star Wars and Harry Potter, that they are a little cautious to bring Marvel to Droppp. Need to find the right series that works for it. Popular enough sell out and not too niche that it gets the right attention.

Is it just me, or is anyone else surprised that there has not yet been or even a rumored Marvel NFT Drop!? I find it rather strange considering Marvel holds pretty solid weight and I can imagine some pretty decent ones that could be made.

Not surprised. If they were on, the first one would be one for the upcoming Deadpool movie. That would be marketing and taking advantage of a hot market while giving your audience what it wants.

I agree with a few others that there is a chance that it has to do with a queue of what IPs and drops Funko had already had aligned to. Plus I am sure that Marvel is very particular of their figures and what they will be used for.

Could also have to do with the fact that Marvel is already in the NFT space with digital collectibles and comics for example so you have to wonder if either A.) they are not wanting to dive more into that space B.) working through what can be done and cannot be done given their current contracts they have. I know that this is a different medium and type but seems Marvel takes forever for so many things.

How many same character you have with different variants?

First of all start out with a numbered ASM 300 with a regular Funko pop box. Symboyte Spider-Man. Maybe a really cool retro green goblin are really cool maybe metallic rhino a glow-in-the-dark shocker maybe a unique kingpin definitely Eddie Brock venom from the animated series in the 90s tombstone Michael Morbius from the animated series carnage from the animated series. I’m mean the list goes on.

Cool ideas, not too sure on the ASM because there was complaints that Droppp NFT's should be unique not bland or similar to something already released or on the works. The list can go on, I do agree, but somehow Funko tends to release the same characters in variants but with same molds or w.e. If they do this NFT, they'll have to do it right and I agree with the uniqueness aspect, maybe what they did with the TMNT release.

That’s why the TMNT is still one of my favorites I’m waiting for the second release whenever they decide to do it series 2 and series 2, Star Wars let’s get us a series one marble and you know as long as they stay unique and different. I think they should all do well, but for sure, I believe the NFT Funko wave from the beginning beginning.

I can't wait for TMNT 2 man it's going to be legendary tbh

I’m surprised also but I’m not that surprised. Marvel has a huge amount of ones they can drop but you really think they want to limit them to a certain print run? Maybe it’s just timing that they haven’t dropped a marvel one but If they do maybe it should be phase based or something to get the biggest momentum

I skipped Star Wars because I dont have space for bigger pops, if they had been the regular 4" pops i think the starwars NFT would definitely have done much better, I hope they do regular pops for Marvel.

I have an entire room for pops, but space has become limited as well , so definitely gotta be more selective now as well!

Yes, as much as I like getting the Star Wars NFTs, my room set up is really designed only for the 4" Pops, so it should be interesting when I receive them.

Although the selection of the West Coast Avengers is an interesting one right out of the gate, I'm very excited for these Pops! and the potential of what they represent going forward.
