He may just be a common but I saw it in person today for the first time and HAD to buy it. It’s incredible. All the colors and blending, and glitter, and sculpting. I am beyond wowed.

Anyone else?

Was he shiny, like a treasure from a sunken pirate wreck?

Had no desire for this guy until I saw him in person, and now he may well be one of my favorite Pops. He's incredible! I love Maui's little hook on his back. I'm totally in for a 6 or 10 inch Tamatoa with mini Maui/Moana.

I haven't seen Tamatoa in person yet, but that is probably my favorite Moana character aside from Moana herself. I can't wait to get him.

Honestly, I dislike the song but couldn't agree more with the detail on his pop. The gold, texture on his shell, Maui's hook, to his crusty looking teeth make the pop look incredible. My bf bought one and has him oob.

The detail of all the treasure on his back is pretty extraordinary. I especially like that they included Maui's hook. I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but they really did a fantastic job

Pop of the YEAR in my opinion. Nothing else releasing this year will have the attention to detail as this Tamatoa does.

Agree with most on here that the detailing is insane! The gold on the back of the shell, the hook trully a brilliant pop.

YES! I love the Tamatoa. My gf dislikes the song and the character but can't deny it's impeccable detail and luster which makes me like it even more! It's a great POP but very very very weirdly oriented in the box. One of the only ones that are OOB for me and sits at my bedside table cuz "ITS SO SHINY!!!!" lol!!
