Got the Fugitive Toys Firestorm exclusive in today! Not the greatest glower but wow what a cool-looking Pop it is! The legs, arms and hair are translucent and glow, really a great effect if somewhat anemic compared to more powerful glowers.

There have already been some great pics of Duck Dodgers posted in this thread, but can you ever get enough of him? No you can't. So here are a few of mine. He was one of my few SDCC splurges (I got most of my SDCC buys at retail cost, but not him). But soooo worth it, such a great-looking piece and fantastic glow...

All of the GITD pieces from SDCC this year are fantastic and I love looking at the picture that you guys are taking. That way I can live vicariously through you while keeping mine safe in their boxes.

The way Croc glows is the reason I decided to keep him when I opened my mystery box from barnes & nobles.

I'm also doing some custom glow in the dark Boo Berry Blox that I will post when I ever finish. They've been on the back burner for a year now half finished.

Aw man! I totally gave up on him or any of the glowing variants (was really sad seeing that green one on Funko Shop but funds are tight after SDCC) and this looks so amazing! If I ever pull the trigger on the aftermarket I'd definitely get the blue one!

Some guys use those UV flashlights just to give them a quick charge before taking a picture. I have two displays, one is a bat case lined with these UV LEDs:
https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... ributes/31
The other is a shelf with a black light fluorescent strip from Walmart. Both lights are switched from a remote, I turn the lights on in the evening and use them as a night light until I turn them off to sleep. I love looking at them just after I turn the lights off, they're so cool! They actually glow all night, not very bright but after you sleep a while and open your eyes you're so adjusted to the dark that you can still see them glowing.

If you have the blue Glowbug I think it's the exact same vinyl. Same color and same glowy goodness

Man, I like this thread. Makes me want to do something like this. I was planning on selling off a ton of stuff. I guess I have to think about it. But nice collections and setups.

The new Green Goblin SDCC glow is awful
. The translucent makes it seem cool, but it has no right to its claims of being GITD.
I'll post pics later tonight

What are you charging it with? I just got mine today and it looks fantastic, glows quite nicely! It's in my case lined with UV LEDs.

Just regular daylight to start. Then I tried my iPhone flashlight at point blank and it barely even holds that. Compared to my GITD storm it's awful.
I held the light at point blank for about 10 seconds on each.

edit: did another test. sitting point blank in my light fixture for an hour and it looks much better. Normally my Storm and Thanos can glow like that just from natural light or my room light fixture about 8 feet away. GG needs something more powerful and direct though, sadly.

Re: The glowy Pop goodness thread :-)
Emcee, I've noticed that some of the glow Pops respond better to different lighting. I have my bat base lined with UV LEDs and I also have a strip flourescent LED. Some Pops glow better under one or the other even though they're both LED, it's really strange. And some will glow great under UV but barely get charged at all under sunlight or incandescent lighting. The UV LEDs are not cheap, but a fluorescent strip light is less than 20 bucks at Walmart and charges most of them up quite nicely, you might give it a try.
On a sidenote, I finally found a -good enough- deal on a white gamma DD that was listed with a description that didn't make it show up in a standard search. So woohoo, the green and white ones are both on the way
I also bought a 2nd bat case on sale, I need to order more LEDs for it but it will double my glow display which is good because I've got a bunch of them waiting for a new home
