I fell in love with it during the Grant Morrison "Batman R.I.P." run. I've been hoping for a Zur En Arrh Batman POP for a couple years now, so it sucks that they finally made it and I'll never have it.

With that being said though, I understand it's borderline obscure, so even though it's a favorite of mine, most people probably don't know or care about it, so if you have to have a limited quantity Batman POP, this is probably the best choice. Sucks for me though. Lol

I'm a huge fan of that Morrison run and of the original Planet-X story line. Honestly, I think hard to find variants like this should be a comic accurate repaint, but something similar to the silver Hot Topic exclusive. That my collection can do without. Accurate Batsuits, however, make me really upset when I can't find them (this being the first).

I'm still hoping for an accurate Batman RIP ZEA Batman. This Target one is from "The Superman of Planet-X".

They're so close, I doubt they'd revisit it, but it would be great for fans still on the hunt like me!

I don't collect for value and I've never sold a single Pop, however it's still kind of a kick in the nuts to see that the 250 or so exclusives I bought in the last 2 years are barely worth the plastic used to make them (except my GITD Skeletor) while a Pop that just came out is selling for 30x retail value. As I said, I'm not into Pops for profit but I did notice this. And the only reason I know what they're "worth" is because I enter all my stuff into the Pop Price Guide as it is a nice way to put your collection and want list into a database.

Took a look at the prices people are trying to get, I like this Pop, but my local Targets have jokes for selections, so this ones going to be a no.

Sadly, this is the case for me as well. My nearest Target is 50 minutes away, and they have had nothing. I'm just going to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks. If I don't get it... no big.

My bitterness stems from not even having a fighting chance at this one due to the Targets in my area being cleared out by a popoholic no good flipper obviously... All we can hope now is that funko/target whoever can give other people a chance by doing a 2nd run of them. One can only hope.

Yeah, change the box and call him Planet X Batman or something. That way the original still retains a lot of its value and people who just want the Pop can actually get it...

They could use the Retro Batman head instead of the '66 Batman head.

It is utterly ridiculous! I mean this is surpassing prices of pieces that are way more limited. Sad thing is ppl giving to the flips 'r us and paying those absurd amounts.

You know what, this actually makes me feel a little better. I have the "Superman of Planet-X" issue, but have no real love for it.

I only fell in love Zur En Arrh Bats during "Batman RIP", so that makes not having it sting a little less.

Thanks for that. :)

Chances of finding one in the wild is a complete lost cause if they don't release additional stock. There's no reason to think they will make more of these. If you went to a store that showed 12 (and no records of any past sales) you may luck out on finding a box sitting in their backroom.

That's my 2 cents

What are the odds of winning the Power Ball jackpot? I think you have better odds with the Power Ball jackpot then finding a Zur En Arrh Batman in the wild at this point lol

I'll share what I experienced :), the other board members can keep me honest. Most stores got a shipment of 12 POPs under the SS POP DPCI the first week of their release. That box generally had 2-4 Joker exclusives and then the rest were filled in with commons. The Batmans showed up in quantities of 0-4 in a case of 12 (which may be 2 cases of 6?).

I hope you get one either way and not at the outrageous eBay prices.

I've been keeping an eye on ebay prices and noticed a week or two ago they surged at $250 (one even sold for $400), but this week it seems like prices are falling in the $150-$180 range. The bubble may have burst on this guy.

Is that what happened? You think it will go back up after everyone's buying their Freddy's? I wasn't sure if it would go back up or keep declining.

The price drop has got to be because of the SDCC releases this past week. Give it a another week or two to get all the SDCC stuff out of our system and the price will most likely go back up, although, it would be nice if it didn't! lol

SDCC 2016 exclusives definitely killed the secondary market on a lot of high valued pops. If you have some holes in your collection now is the time to fill them.

Hype is an incredible thing. This could have escaped a lot more flippers if Funko didn't say anything about the limited number especially while they were coming out since pops are popular among collectors and resellers. Besides for hardcore Batman fans and some pop fans the feeling of satisfaction of acquiring such a pop can't last long enough to justify the price tag? After a while it's just another pop out of the bunch of pops sitting on a shelf. Better to just forget about it at these prices.

I feel the same way. If I found it in store or could get it close to cost I would get it. The $200+ price tag is just ridiculous.

I can understand holding the box while taking pictures, to some degree. But cradling it like a baby whilst showing off your nips is something else. At least he was wearing pants. :dontknow:

What if one of his nips touched the box? I feel like there should be some sort of nip discount in place.

None of his other POPs are pictured with various body parts, other than an occasional hand. This is like seeing a double rainbow...what does it mean!?
