This.

All over social media (and a few posts here and there on this site) I've seen people seriously complaining because "Ugh, none of these are absolutely blowing my mind! Funko's really sucking this year!" Yeah, that's not an exaggeration, and only after two waves of reveals.

Just a friendly reminder that Funko cannot possibly make a Pop that will blow every single person's mind, but that still isn't stopping them from trying. They're still putting in a ton of work to give us awesome variants (I'm not even a Supes fan, but that "False God" variant is nothing short of incredible), some brilliant variation (c'mon, who here didn't immediately convert to the Dorbz side when they Vanellope's car?), and a ton of surprises (Duck Dodgers! Our first look at a brand spankin' new line!). Even if you're not spotting one that you absolutely need (yet), you can at least acknowledge that Funko's knocking it out of the park so far with these exclusives, appealing to an enormous range of different fans.

These next few weeks of reveals, be a Wildflower lol

I certainly think funko has done really well with a varied selection so far and personally I enjoy the fact they went with this false god Supes, but I can see it being divisive pop simply because BvS did a terrible job portaying Superman and some fans may not be able to separate the bad taste left in their mouths by that with the fact did a very out of the box artistic interpretation with this variant. I agree on the vanellope dorbz ride thats going to be an xmas gift for the gf.

Mixed emotions again with Wave 2 announcement. Nothing must have - so should I be happy that I don't have to deal with Funko lines or sad that there aren't must have items for me? :-s

Suspicious haha. These are just the first two waves. In my experience, this is the calm before the storm.

It is like this every year, people complain after the first few reveal but after everything is out there most people like at least one thing. We should be happy that Funko has such an incredibly diverse lineup to pull from. If they didn't the people buying would complain that there was just too much to buy. Just because something doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean that other people don't like it, so let's keep it classy folks. You may not want a particular item but at least respect the hard work and skill that went into making them.

Even though False God Supes should've been in the statue pose, I'm more than happy that the payoff is it being a Summer Convention Exclusive. That Blue Glow Duck Dodgers though is too sick no to get. May luck be at mine side tis Online SDCC.

Glad the Powerpuff Girls are only first to market, so getting them later is an easy call. The Duck Dodgers & Peter Potamus being limited breaks my heart a little as I know I won't be able to land the 750pc run.
So far the Dorbz are ruling my purchasing decisions lol

People always say "oh I don't need any of these" during the announcements. But then when the con happens and these start hitting stores, they are right here with everyone else posting about all of their SDCC scores lol Hey I've done it myself, thought I didn't need some of them but then there I am staring at them in the store- hard to see that SDCC sticker and walk away... Plus some of them just don't look great in glams. I remember being totally unimpressed with unmasked Twisty, really didn't like it at all. But when I saw it in the store, wow! Very cool piece and I had to have it. Never say never :-)

My only concern is that I will have enough money for the ones I really one and that the ones I really want are in stores.
I am horrible at getting things online when there is a rush, so the stores are the way to go. I can't realistically save money and put it aside because life gets in the way, so hopefully things pan out and I have some cash when the time comes. Only two waves in, and only want one or two items, so I know the next 6 waves will hit me! :D

I think I'm actually more excited about the fact that the Powerpuff Girls are just first-to-market at SDCC, and then eventually will be commons. Means there's nothing (so far) that I absolutely must have. This is good. :)

The variety is awesome, though!!! Some fun pieces.

I believe that its a "Summer Exclusive." In the past, this means that it might be released at places like Hot Topic or on Gemini. I don't think we have definitive confirmation yet, though.
