Should I keep my boxes or just toss em?

I want to display my Hikaris OOB, but I dont really want to keep huge empty boxes filling up my gameroom. Should I just toss em out?

Guess you can make some people happy who have damaged boxes and such

You could offer to sell them, or give them to people, or maybe flatten them if you think you'll need them in the future. Or recycle them.

I keep all boxes. For Hikari, pops, vynl any and all. I fold them down and store them in Rubbermaid containers. The inserts I just stack them inside each other and keep them in order then the boxes are stacked separate. To keep the boxes flat and ensure they don't unfold, I wrap paper around them and use tape on top of the paper to strengthen them like a band

Toss 'em or offer them up here in case anyone needs them. Seems useless to me to store empty boxes unless you think you might trade/sell them later. Hikaris especially. Just one man's opinion though and probably depends a lot on how many you have.

I do the same thing minus the paper-band idea, I may steal that. I flatten them out, stack the flat boxes in a bin and use the stacked inserts to hold them down.

I also take a piece of painters tape and label the inserts for quick future reference if I ever need to get them back out.

I am an OOB collector, but I still keep my pop boxes. The Dorbz boxes, those go in the recycling bin. I don't have room to keep those..

Toss them, especially if you are OOB. The only reason to keep them is if you plan to resell them NIB in the future.

Honestly, I would keep the boxes. I have some in box and some out of box and that's also the same for my pops and wobblers. Maybe buy a large plastic bin to store the boxes in or even some of the longer bins can usually fit perfectly underneath a bed.

If you have the space, flatten them and store them in totes. If space is an issue, toss or rehome them but know that it will make it more difficult to sell them should you go that route.

I toss the majority of mine out, I don't have the room to keep them. I do save some of the higher profile boxes in case somebody needs em.

Thanks for all the replies, I dont really plan on selling em. Ill see if anyone local needs the boxes before I toss em out. Honestly I would offer up the boxes but the Hikaris I have are worth about as much as the shipping for sending the boxes out to other people . I think ill get a little card album for the cards though

I have now tossed all of my hikari boxes (pulled the plastic and recycled the plastic and cardboard separately). they are too big, i display OOB, and it is not like these will be worth much for resale (famous last words).

If it has a forever home, there isn't any reason you can't toss or rehome the boxes. Otherwise, you can flatten them down which will save some space.

The nice thing about Hikari though is that the boxes have a huge window, so you can also save space by going in box with them.

Much the same. Also, I use painter's tape that's got which one it goes to written in sharpie for the inserts.

You can fold any funko box down pretty easy, but if you feel like you wont need them, id say let em go!

I would hold onto them. You never know, maybe one day you will want to display differently or get rid of them. Would help if you had them.

i am coming back to say i hope you have destroyed them. i have since shredded so many boxes. i have limited space so i looked at the 8 giant bins of boxes and inserts, and decided to toss them. i also sent a giant stack of boxes to someone i know, now it is their problem muahahahaha
