Sorry, as I work more on the creative end of things, I don't really have sales information available. And the inner workings of our international distribution are a mystery to me. Although, word on the street is that they're doing pretty well outside of the US. However, across the board, I think Doctor Who is off the table for ReAction, sadly.

3. Will any of the figures have added articulation, or some other way of realistically holding their weapons? I'm thinking specifically about the smart gun if any of the figures come with one.

1. That depends on the sale of series 1. Shooting for a September release, but that may get pushed.

2. Not sure of the final lineup yet.

1) Any idea if we might see another playlist as an SDCC exclusive this year? If so, is it likely it would be followed by a similar pre-order programme?

2) I understand the playset pre-orders were ok, but not spectacular. Was there at least enough interest for you to consider making another playset in the future, even on a similar pre-order basis?

3) Is it safe to say that the best selling properties would be the ones most likely to be considered for playsets or vehicles in the future?

4) Rather than full-blown vehicles have you considered any old-school style mini-rigs?

5) How exactly does the relationship between Funko and Super 7 actually work? It sounds like you share some things like sculpting and which licenses to pursue, but I wonder if you take responsibility for different things?

6) In light of the KISS 3.75 figure line I wonder if you'd considered doing a music line, especially as most record labels and film companies are one and the same these days?

7) I've seen a few actors posing with their Reaction figures, do you actually send figures to them? Or is the first time most of them know there is a figure when somebody puts it in front of them to sign?

8) It was fun seeing Samuel L Jackson posing with his Reaction figure from Pulp Fiction, anyone in particular you'd like to see posting a selfie or pic of themselves with their plastic counterpart?

Being a Disney guy, I'm really happy to hear that Nightmare Before Christmas is doing well enough to warrant a second series. Has this led to any discussions about other Disney animated properties? There's so much to pull from that massive library of films. All the classics would be so fun. Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland... the list goes on.

1) If you meant "playset" (stupid autocorrect!), then that would be Super7's department. They do have something planned, but I'm not sure if it'll make it in time for SDCC, but I know they're trying. And I'm not sure what their plans are after SDCC. We're still working out that deal with them.

2) Again, that's a Super7 thing. Funko had nothing to do with that other than helping with some sculpting and getting licensor approvals for them.

3) Pretty much, but sales isn't everything. The concept of the playset would also have to make sense.

4) We have not. If we do get around to vehicles, we'll go all out.

5) Funko has complete control of ReAction, we took it over from Super7 right before the Alien figures were released. We handle all production and distribution. Super7 still gets to make some crazy exclusives here and there, but they do so through us as far as production and approvals go. But they also consult on the look and feel of the ReAction line every now and then.

6) Possibly. But other than KISS, most music related toys don't sell well enough to justifying the production costs. Which makes me sad. Believe me, I'd love a little set of Black Sabbath figures!

7) As far as I know, we don't send any figures to talent. I don't know how they get them! I spoke with Seth Green last year at SDCC and he told me he pre-ordered his Buffy figures and I was like, "Dude, you're Oz. We can send you some free figures!" But he wouldn't hear of it. Stand up guy.

Or are the most recent round of announcements all that will be confirmed by Funko until around NYTF in 2016?

I couldn't help but notice that the licence for Xena: Warrior Princess still hasn't been acquired by Funko and I need to know how long until the next round of announcements so that I can start counting down!

Hello!

I'm loving the Big Trouble in Little China figures and I'm hoping we get another series of them if they sell well enough. I was thinking about how great a David Lo Pan figure would be but then I started wondering how wheelchairs users might be rendered in the ReAction style. With current ReAction lines this could apply to David Lo Pan and also Dr. Finkelstein from Nightmare Before Christmas but might extend to plenty of other great characters who are wheelchair users (I can't be the only person wanting Big Lebowski ReAction figures and we would definitely need the Big Lebowski himself).

Anyways, just curious if you had any thoughts as to how a character using a wheelchair might be rendered in the old Kenner style. I could see the knees either permanently bent with the character able to be place don a chair or the chair and legs as one sculpted piece with the upper body attaching as a separate piece.

This is exciting to hear since I am a big Disney fan too. Would love to see a heroes & villains line with a mix of classic and newer movies. Frozen would probably sell really well now and it's a small cast so all the characters would fit in 1 wave.

1. Is there a 'standard' lead time for a figure/property once its decided and the license agreed? I mean, Star Wars figures are supposed to be something like 18 months from approval to hitting the shops (sh'yeah right!). I know ReAction is a different beast but I wonder if you are still working on 2015 figures, or if you are now on 2016, even 2017 waves at the moment?

2. Does the Disney takeover/Force Awakens mean that there is more wriggle room around Star Wars licenses in general? Or does Hasbro still have the lid firmly shut on anything even remotely action figure related?

3. How cool would it be to have a ReActions video game? Like LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Batman. Sorry, this isn't even a question really, more of a wouldn't that be cool?

4. In ReAction and Legacy we've seen the same Firefly characters each time. Assuming there is a second wave you do have rights to the other main characters, Simon, River and Book?

5. As above, does the same apply to Alien and Aliens? Are there existing lines where you've done a wave but there is doubt you could ever do some characters going forwards due to rights issues? (I guess the Phoebe Cates rumour is behind this question)

We've talked about sitting characters before (like Dr. Finklestein) and we imagine that we'd have to put some articulation in the knees, like Kenner Superpowers or Gabriel's Lone Ranger figures.

1. We move a lot faster than most companies. We're still working on 2015 figures.

2. I wish! But, nope. Hasbro is not giving up Star Wars action figures anytime soon.

3. Hmmm... I don't know. I think a Pop game would rule, though!

4. Yes, we have the rights to all the characters from the TV show (not the movie).

5. For the most part, we have rights to all characters in a license. The Phoebe Cates issue was a surprise to us. I guess she made sure she maintained control of all of her characters, even in a non-likeness format. Trust me, since her character in Gremlins was my movie girlfriend when I was 11, nobody is more bummed about this than me.

6. No kidding! His face is so hard to capture!

7. Shatner for sure, but Kaylee from Firefly is tough. Her face is made up of these tiny little subtleties and any one out of place makes her look completely wrong! Elizabeth Shue was tough, too. (She was my movie-girlfriend when I was 12.)

In case it's been asked before, my apologies. Will we see Arnold and other human characters from Predator at some point?

Sorry, but no. Basically, the amount we would have to pay Arnold for the rights to make his character would be cost-prohibitive. He charges a large flat fee per character, where most actors charge a moderate fee for the use of all their characters. And we're reluctant to make the other guys without Dutch. At least, that's how it was explained to me.

A few questions.

1) Phoebe Cates. Can she bought off? (I can spring for some flowers)

2) Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm assuming there was a different deal regarding his likeness for Terminator?

3) Would it be possible to do a kickstarter for the fans to pay Arnold's fee? If nothing else, it'd be a good way to gauge if there's enough interest in the rest of the Predator cast. And I'd personally hope there is. (I'd take them even without Dutch)

4) Is it a possibility we could get new characters as convention or other exclusives if they only require new heads? I'm thinking Star Trek here, with it's vast cast of 2nd and 3rd string characters.

5) Can parts be used to from, for example, say the Buffy line to make a character for the Firefly line to cut down on production costs? Like a new head on the Buffy body to make River.
