Stopped by yesterday for the SW set and also asked about this one as well. Only 1-2 preorders at my store and with how yesterday went, I don't see getting one on day one as being a problem, just be there when the doors open!

Stopped in and pre ordered mine today... no issues just gave them the SKU number. They had a stack of the SW exclusives, for the first time in my life I refused to buy them. I am only focusing on a couple lines... they had one R2 left and the guy behind me I knew was going to buy each so I let him have it, I know he was very nervous as he heard I was pre ordering a pop.

Take this for what it is worth and with a grain of sand but I was in GS tonight and the guy working tonight said that their Kratos pop will be a new mold. Now like I said take it for what its worth, which is face value, but I truly am hoping the guy is right.

Preordered mine yesterday. Like a lot of other people, I had no trouble at all. Fortunately, the GameStop I go to is filled with employees that are extremely knowledgeable of their store and what they carry, so this guy knew exactly what I was talking about.

While I doubt it will be a new mold, I'm just excited to see the new paint job!

They are telling you falsehoods... Gamestop takes pre-orders for pretty much everything they sell. It's a huge part of their business model. Sounds more like they just don't want to hassle with it because they don't view them as a big ticket item.

Maybe they're just ill informed employees, getting a preorder helps them meet weekly goals (regardless of whether it's a Pop or a game). I can't seem them knowingly turning someone away that will be unwittingly putting them in the good graces of their corporate big brothers.

You've gotta think that taking preorders would be part of the standard new employee training, so I doubt any employee would just not know about their preorder system.

As a former employee that also knows about a recent change to their POS trust me when I say that most of the employees I've talked to don't even know they have a "toy/loot section" in the preorder system. I've known many lazy retail associates in my days also... so you could very well be right. But from a faith in humanity standpoint wouldn't it be best to give them the benefit of the doubt? It's hard enough working retail at GameStop (one of the internet's favorite whipping boys). Just need to find out the category number and tell them to look it up by that next time you go in there, or make sure you get the manager. Cause if the manager doesn't know how to find it then your entire district has a serious problem that corporate needs to know about.

I'd give him a day or two. Just depends on where he's being shipped from. I'm just glad there are so many, he's a very cool piece and I hope everyone who wanted one finds one.
