Are they still playing at the Long Beach Pyramid? I think venue location can impact attendance as it is can be a challenge for Socal people to make trek across LA county to get to different locations.

A WNBA line is definitely intriguing. They definitely have enough stars (past and present) to cover multiple waves of releases without releasing too many molds of the same players. Although I’m highly positive a select few will receive that treatment (too much money to leave on the table).

Exactly! I went to the SF Giants game when they had the Bruce Lee pops signed by his wife and daughter. It was a great experience with a super great pop!

I think I posted this before somewhere, but I think Funko could have sold a ton of Caitlin Clark Pops if they had done an event Pop when she broke the scoring record at Iowa. I'm not sure of the in and outs of licensing, but NCAA athletes can sign deals now and Funko already has the NCAA license for the mascots line so it might have been possible. I would have gotten one for my own collection.

NIL is such a new concept it will take some time to properly create their contracts where everyone is happy. Take the new NCAA EA football game for example, each of those players were offered $600 and a free copy of the game. So NIL is definitely causing at least some change in the way college kids are paid.

I think the other end of it isn't just getting the players likeness its getting the schools permission to use logo/team name details. So now you got two diff people who want a cut. Might just be too nebulous so Funko is hands off.
