So my gf has a friend that owns a comic store and he sells Pops, she's been showing him pics of my displays and he wanted me to come up with something he could sell in his store. I whipped up a prototype last night, below is a pic of it. This one is obviously themed after GoT, but I'll be working on other themes as well. The cube is 10"x10"x10" and can hold up to 8 Pops. The cube itself is interlocking, in the picture only half the cube is shown, the other half slips over it to create an airtight display. It'll be sold like this with LEDs installed, just add Pops and plug it in :-)

I'm going to let him display this prototype a while to gauge interest in it. For now whatever I sell will just be local through his shop because I don't have time to package and ship these since I work a full time job. But if I can figure out how to make them faster I might expand into that later. Let me know what y'all think of it!

Here's another cube I built, makes a nice display for My Freddys (plus Heisi)! May be hard to tell in the pic but the talk bubble cutout is about an inch in from of the Pop graphic, so it has kind of a shadowbox effect. It's lined with white LEDs, makes the graphic look like it glows. There are also openings on each side lined with green LEDs. I forgot to take pics before loading it with Pops lol

EDIT- looks like there are new file size restrictions and unfortunately my phone takes pics that are too big! Trying to edit them down to an allowable size.

Uuuuuuuuugh all the photos are gone! I'll relocate the photos to my web site and repost them! Until then here's one of my two living room cases:

I think I posted a while back that I ordered the Rancor set from PC and it is in my hands :-)

Luke and the Rancor will be going in a diorama right below the Jabba Throne Room. In order to do that I had to build a new built-in shelf under Jabba, I took a couple of hours to do that last night. So construction on the dungeon scene will commence soon :-)

Great displays...the TMNT ones threw me off at first due to the custom painted eyes, etc.

Thanks all! Hopefully I can get the Rancor dungeon done soon and I think after that will be a Sesame Street scene for all the flocked figures :-)

Ha! Yeah those figures and the van were all custom painted by Howie Green, he does a lot of very cool pop art with a heavy hippie vibe along the lines of Peter Max. He offers some of his work through an Etsy store here:

Well I started on the Luke/ Rancor dungeon I'm going to add below the Jabba diorama but it's been interrupted by the spring weather. This is the time of year I have to tackle all my outdoor maintenance projects before the nasty hot weather arrives. So it's in progress but it might be a while before I can finish it and get pics posted!

In the meantime I made some additions to a couple of my existing scenes, I've added another marshmallow man to the collection so I can swap them out to match whatever mood I'm in that day lol

I like how the burned one looks in there because all the red lighting kind of makes it look like the city is on fire anyway, so he matches :-)

The GoT display is one that my GF and I share, I recently bought her the newer big Drogon so we swapped him into the display. Also they finally released the unsullied Pop so I finally filled that last open spot in the display.

I have so many projects waiting in the wings, I've got all the flocked Sesame Street characters and will be doing a display for those. I'm also planning an Adventure Time display and a Harry Potter display that will include the upcoming train. I just need to quit my job so I have adequate time to spend on these lol

Giselle, thank you, no one has ever commented on the kitty before but I thought it was a good way to try and give the scene some scale to make Ant Man look a little smaller scale-wise.

And thank you for the compliment! I'm totally serious about helping you build a scene, one of my other hobbies is R/C planes and I've had a few online friends stop by to get help building a plane and/or learning to fly it. So it's nothing new to me :-)

Just finished this display cube for my daughter for her 22nd bday this weekend :-)

Front of the cube is lined with UV LEDs. The back archways are lined in blue LEDs and the symbol is hand cut with the pocket lined in yellow paper and the perimeter lit with white LEDs which gives it a cool glow effect. There are room for two regular sized Pops on the platforms on either side, I'll let her decide what she wants to put there :-)

Could probably get two more in on either side of Kurama. Kurama glows really nicely, I added a pic of it with the lights out.

PS- this is the 4th of these cubes I've done (all different), the other pics got lost when the Gallery went away, I'll try to get them uploaded to my site and repost them. They're small (10" x 10" x 10") and make nice little shelf displays.

Thanks Jonathan! I don't know anything about the show either, but my daughter is a big fan. I looked at reference photos to try and get an idea for the backdrop but didn't really see anything I liked, so just made that graphic to kind of match the pattern on his shoulder and arm. My phone doesn't take good low-light photos, the colors are much more vibrant than they look in my pics.
