Has anybody gotten their Balrog to glow? I've have mine out for two nights now and I can't see anything on him.

Try a black light, I ordered a cheap one off Amazon, hopefully you didn't get a factory error one

What are the odds Halloween Donald and Goofy might re-stock on the HotTopic website? The other NYYC pops on there have been in-stock for the past 3 days, but I've never seen those two in stock at all.

Ah, thanks, I may give that a go. And I hope not! I was really looking forward to the glow after seeing how great the Twilight Ringwraith was.

Good thing my manager is off this weekend, otherwise I would’ve gotten in trouble for being on my phone so much. But I’m determined to get my hands on that James Gunn pop.

My husband got one too. It was a subtle glow compare to twilight ringwraigth, but it did glow red and yellow $\:D/$

^^ what kiners_funatic said. I thought it didn't glow and mine was defective, but then we blasted it with lots of light and ran in the bathroom and got a mellow glow. Again, not full throttle like the twilight ringwraith or a Star Wars GITD pop.

I highly doubt they would restock. I remember seeing somewhere in IG regarding Nerdette stating that most NYCC pops are gone and won't restock.

I'm definitely salty, but it's wild that these "shared" exclusives aren't numbered yet seem so tough to obtain. I'm surprised that Boggart Snape has been such a challenge to track down.

Won’t the James Gunn from the shop have its own run of 500 with the fall convention exclusive sticker? They did that at sdcc with all the limited items. For example, the Scott Pilgrim Sword of Destiny was sold at the con with the real con sticker and then on the FS with the summer convention sticker. I just assumed each had its own run of 2000. Either way there’s not many James Gunn out there and is going to sell out in a minute.

Good luck to everyone, really hoping they list several today as I’ll have no shot at getting the others during the week when I’m at work!

Destro is still up on Forbidden Planet but it is down as a "pre order" available from 21st October. So you could pre order it now as they dont take money up front and get your place in the queue set.

all my praise for amazon pay is out the window. Payment throttled, switched to CC and it endlessly processed my order until it sold out and I didnt get it

I had issues with payment too, Amazon Pay throttled, took a couple tries for CC to go through but somehow I still got one. Finally some luck!!

I set my alarm for 10:30, got up and saw Speedy go live. Got all my info in and was stuck on this screen for two minutes.

Waited all weekend for this pop. Pretty disappointed, but hopefully I can get him one day.

Crossing my fingers for NYC Freddy! I had my heart set on him and Speedy, but Speedy sold out right after I entered all my payment info.

Does anyone know why you're not guaranteed an item if it's in your cart?

I got this as well with Amazon Pay - I actually tried CC first and got the loop so did amazon pay - luckily no throttle but hit that endless spinning wheel (reminds me of SDCC). Curbed my instinct to refresh and it finally went through.

I believe they use Shopify, which doesn't allow people to just cart items and not complete checkout. A lot of other shops use it and you have to be quick on the draw instead of taking your time putting in your info.

Wasn't able to get Speedy but after getting Batman Chrome and Scrooge Mcduck thursday I can't really complain. For the moment 2 on 3 in my hunt and speedy was the last POP on my wishlist. Waiting for Freddy Liberty now and hope I'll get this one!

Hm, I wonder if having him right next to my Ringwraith is making it harder to notice. I'll have to do some rearranging and see if I notice it then.

Yeah, I've come to terms with it being very unlikely.

What I don't get is what incentive Funko gets out of making small quantities of certain pops so that they're impossible to catch for the average consumer anyway? They don't make any money from them being re-sold at $90 by the few people who can snatch them, and it just annoys customers who don't stand a chance of getting them. Why even go to the trouble of making a mold at all if they're not going to make it available to the people who might want it?

So I had a half marathon this morning. Of course half way through the race it started raining. I got to the finish a bit faster than I thought I would but I was thoroughly soaked and standing in the drizzle waiting for a family member to finish. I'm also staring at my phone waiting for a call from them in case I missed them. I got a message from a friend that just said said speedy. I quickly hit the link I have on my home page and added to cart. I used amazon pay and struggled to type in my password because my screen was that wet. Got that amazon pay is being throttled message or something a few times but on the 5th try it went to the payment screen. Spent what felt like an eternity watching it process with the spinning circle before I saw the email pop up that the payment went through and the confirmation screen loaded. I struck out on the lottery, got nothing but pending charges from B&N / struck out at the store despite going an hour before opening (really wanted Balrog but would've felt better if I at least got a batman). The only two I had wanted that I was able to get was Norman Bates from the FYE booth and Krombopulos Michael which I got online while standing in line waiting to enter the Con on Thursday. But speedy was in the top 3 of ones I wanted and didn't think I would have a shot at. It is my first numbered pop (though I would have been just as determined to try and get one if it were a regular con exclusive) and was definitely the sweetest feeling to get one at that moment after everything.

In my opinion, low stock for some figs or Limited edition is what is making the hunt fun, tough, and rewarding. I do understand that it can be very very annoying for people when it's such in low quantities (compared to the demand) that website crashed because of traffic/sold out in 2 minutes/rush to some stores. But I also feel like this the whole point of the hunt... :-k

I agree 100%, the short supply limited are what keep pops interesting. Even with going with the "Convention" stickers so they are shared much more kinda removed the excitement of most con pieces these days. I missed on Speedy, it was fast and furious, I was upset I missed him but I love the fact knowing I have a pop on my "new" want list that will be a hunt, not so much "Drive to store, pick through 17 damaged boxes to find the best one" want list
