Thanks It seems like they're going to be done with exclusive announcements a full month before SDCC! I feel like last year they were announced way closed to the convention date, but I might be wrong.

Thanks It seems like they're going to be done with exclusive announcements a full month before SDCC! I feel like last year they were announced way closed to the convention date, but I might be wrong.

They were quite close, but also SDCC was a couple weeks earlier than usual last year. Gives us more time to free up funds

Yes this is a little earlier than before, but I think this is a little better than the year that they announced the final wave on the day of Preview Night.

They said their were going to be 8 waves of announcements as well as an extra announcement right before SDCC. We will know all of these before July it seems with just waiting on the extra announcement. Nice long prep time.

On the Funko blog I saw that they would not be announcing booth procedures, etc until after all waves had been revealed. They said beginning of July. The exact wording was "Information regarding our booth procedures and more will be shared upon completion of our reveals in early July."

Nothing from wave 2 that I want. My wallet breathes a sigh of relief. I'm sure that will change with future waves, though. I liked two of the items from wave 1, Vanellope and Green Goblin, but I'm leaning towards passing on them. I'm hoping for some Star Wars and Game of Thrones primarily.

I'm hoping the Peter Potomus/So-So Pops are only exclusive as a two-pack and will be mass released as singles down the line, because they turned out great! And I'm loving the Duck Dodgers sculpt and cannot wait to buy the regular version at retail.

So many amazing announcements so far, and not even close to being done yet!

My favorites so far are the Peter Potamus/So-so pack and the Duck Dodgers pieces. Amazing!

That superman pop is dope! I gotta add that deadpool to my collection as well. I've never seen Duck Dodgers but both pops are cool nonetheless. Hopefully they just set hard numbers on the less popular properties.

All over social media (and a few posts here and there on this site) I've seen people seriously complaining because "Ugh, none of these are absolutely blowing my mind! Funko's really sucking this year!" Yeah, that's not an exaggeration, and only after two waves of reveals.

Just a friendly reminder that Funko cannot possibly make a Pop that will blow every single person's mind, but that still isn't stopping them from trying. They're still putting in a ton of work to give us awesome variants (I'm not even a Supes fan, but that "False God" variant is nothing short of incredible), some brilliant variation (c'mon, who here didn't immediately convert to the Dorbz side when they Vanellope's car?), and a ton of surprises (Duck Dodgers! Our first look at a brand spankin' new line!). Even if you're not spotting one that you absolutely need (yet), you can at least acknowledge that Funko's knocking it out of the park so far with these exclusives, appealing to an enormous range of different fans.
