Horror minis series 2.

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

It's just a guess, but could be something they just need to repaint the figure for instead of offering a new sculpt.

I am in the same boat as you ShyGuyPal. Just ordered 2 boxes from Entertainment Earth. I am wondering though, getting 2 boxes still won't guarantee I get a full range of the 1/24 characters, right? I could even get 2 of the exact same boxes I suppose. Hope that doesn't happen but if so then I guess I should have good swapping material to get the ones I miss.

Why did pinhead have to be the 1/72. Forever sad.

Pinhead at 1/72 is heartbreaking. I foresee him being the next Mars Attacks Alien for me.

I am happy the ones I am interested are 1/12's. Well, except for Cthulhu, but 1/24 isn't to bad.

Right, there's just a really high possibility. Another thing I forgot to mention to you Oblong in the other thread was how the case layouts work. Assuming they follow the same pattern as the Science Fiction series, a full case will be:
Guaranteed all the 1/12 figures
3 more figures from the other rarities (1:24, 1:24, and 1:36 for example)

Getting two different cases will nearly guarantee you most, if not all the 1:24's. Whatever 1:24's you don't get will be replaced by either a 1:36 or 1:72. I hope that makes sense? That's assuming they follow the way the Science Fiction ones worked, and oh man did I spend a long time figuring that out while hunting for the Martian...

Either way, all the commons are neat so I don't mind getting extras of those. I can just give them away to friends or save them for trading material.

Each case comes with all 9 of the 1/12s, 2 1/24s, and either a 1/26 or 1/72, that's how it works with every case. (excluding the old ones where there were 24 to a case of course, but same concept).

Oh! Thanks for that! That makes me a bit happier considering the odds for 1:36 and 1:72. Man, but still all the 1:24 are my high wants from this series so I hope I get lucky.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask, but does anyone have a spare Jason from Series 1? I'd be willing to buy or trade for him.

Has anyone seen these in a retail store or is just that one guy on eBay? I messaged him, and he said that he got his at GameStop, but my local one didn't have any. I really want to know when Hot Topic gets them in so I can try to get those exclusives first.

To the collector who nabbed the Chuthulu gitd proto, someone just posted one on ebay (not a proto, just the regular run figure) and is asking about as much as the proto cost. Nice buy on your behalf!

It appears that both the Horror series 2 and WWE MM's are now out an about. I've ordered cases but it is going to be tempting not to buy a couple boxes if I see them!

Curious, are all the boxes packed the same? So if say Beetlejuice is in the front lower right position that he will ALWAYS be in that position providing the case hasn't been disturbed?

No, there are usually several case layouts(A, B, C...), meaning they're in different configurations.

And you can find out exactly which one you have if you have the cardboard box (not display case) they came in. It will state Assortment A, B, C, or whatever on the side of the box.

Hey guys, decided to stop by my local GameStop on the way home from work and they had just set out a box of horror series 2 and a box of NBC. I bought the whole box of horrors!

I may open this later tonight. Being new here, is it ok for me to post the box layout to help others or is that looked down upon?

With tax is was $80 (my son works there so he gets a discount). I got the display box but not the shipping box. I will start cracking tonight after I get home so it will be later tonight before I can post the layout. Excited! \:D/

I'm excited for you. I wish that case was cheaper though. Even with your son's discount, it sounds kind of pricey.

Nice! Glad these are showing up and people are getting them! I'd love to see photos of people's figures!

Also, I'd love to know what figures people are getting. I already see some popping up on eBay. I've seen Pinhead, Count Orlok, and B/W Hitchcock. People are going right for the rare ones during the hype, smart of them. Not so good for us though.

I have mine pre-ordered from BBTS.com but they still haven't charged me yet (or shipped it out). If I see a full case in stores, I'll have to cancel my pre-order.

I started opening my box this morning and had something crazy happen.

So I open the front left top layer and there is The Crow (1/36).
Then I open the front right top layer and there is The Fly (1/24).

Knowing there are 9 figures that are 1/12 that would only leave me with 1 more of the rarer figures in the entire box. So I started shaking them and the back right top layer seemed heavy, like a Hitchcock or Cthulhu and sure enough it was Cthulhu (1/24).

Sorry again for the pic, will update when I fix my camera.
Image

Now I know with 9 boxes left that all are commons and I have 2 more full boxes on order from EE. I may just return the rest of them...but I want to see the others too. And who knows maybe this entire box is nothing but rare figures, does that ever happen? Hope that at least helps others in their picking.

All told, these figures are absolutely gorgeous. Right along with Horror 1, this continues to be my favorite MM series. The detailing is amazing, Eric Draven (The Crow) even has black nail polish on his fingers.

When you say box, do you mean a [display] case of 12 blind-boxes?? The terminology can get confusing lol

And wishful thinking, but no, everything else you open from that case should be a 1/12 rarity - you just happened to pull all three rares first.

I still need The Fly, Nosferatu, and especially Pinhead.

Picked up seven boxes today at Gamestop. I pulled Shaun and Ed (yay! The two I wanted most of all), Cthulhu, Beetlejuice, Eric Draven, Frankenstein's Monster, and Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Just excellent figures. I might still pick up Hitchcock, Nosferatu, and Edward Scissorhands loose...but I have all the ones I wanted the most now!

I went to Gamestop today too, but only bought two as that's all they would sell me. I got the matched pair of Shaun and Ed as well. Even though they're commons it was cool to get both of them in one buy.

Woo-hoo! Gamestop had a full case!
Double Woo-hoo! I got the two I really, really wanted: Orlock and The Fly! I also pulled GitD Cthulhu!

I'll be dumping photos here in a few minutes! Solid 10/10 line, seriously! There's not a single figure I don't like. Even Scissorhands, a character I don't care, for is amazing!

Okay now for the photo dump:
31910
Here is my pull from a full case! Poor Ed and Shaun, I guess zombies are the least of their concerns now.

My Horror Figure collection
31912
As you can see, they fit in well with the Series 1 figures! I'll be updating this later with more figures, but for now I'm very happy!

Bonus photo:
31911
Here are the Universal monsters grouped together!

Let me know if anyone wants more photos of the new figures! Case layout I have too, but I don't know the case letter. Does that matter?

Thanks too! I'm very happy with all of them. I wouldn't even be upset getting doubles of some of the commons they are that cool (not to jinx it).

I got to be honest, I got a bit excited towards the end and so the bottom distribution may be off. Either way, my case layout was:

Top:
(Back)
GitD Cthulhu____The Fly
Alfred H._______Ed
Shaun_________Orlok
(Front)

Bottom:
(Back)
Creature______Edward S.
Stripe________Beetlejuice
David________Creature
(Front)

Oh, oh! And another thing I noticed when opening them. They all weighed relatively the same. Like it was way harder to tell, versus Series 1 where you had small, medium and large figures. Series 2 has nearly all medium sized figures, and even Stripe weighed roughly the same as the mediums. He's not a small figure is what I'm getting at. Cthulhu, Ed, and Edward Scissorhands stood out to me instantly in terms of weight. I think Alfred Hitchcock did too.

Okay, a few last remarks before bed:
They are just as good of quality as Series 1, but I noticed some scuff marks on mine in odd places. I feel like scuffing is more common with these figures.
They have a lot of hidden details you won't notice at first. For example, Beetlejuice has his red ring on his finger.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." - John 3:16-17, KJV

I'm East Coast, southern NH. I've seen multiple GameStops with series 2, and Hot Topic claims to have them coming in any day now. Newbury Comics, for NH and MA people, says they ordered a vast quantity but the ship date keeps being bumped so they don't know when they'll hit shelves. Aside from those big retailers, I've seen a few independent comic shops stocking.

GameStops in NH have figures for $6.99 tax free!

Are there coupons or discounts you can use at GS? An entire case works out to be more $$$ than at HT with all the discounts they usually offer.
