So, after being told how awesome Friendship Magic was, I decided to watch a few last night. Well, i'm almost through the entire first season. I totally LOVE it!!

Now I just gotta get to collecting all the vinyls! I already collect the Pops, but I am liking the vinyls more and more

The vinyls are the best! Also FIM is an amazing show just wait until you get to season 2!!!! :O

The vinyls are the whole reason I even got into Funko! Despite all the POP!'s I have, the pony vinyls continue to be my favorite items.

It's funny you ask, because before I started watching the show, I was convinced I loved Rainbow Dash the best. But after watching a full season, I love Apple Jack and Fluttershy the best. Their personalities are just adorable. And I kinda like the laid back vibe of Big Macintosh!

I figured I'd like Rainbow the best before I started watching, and I was correct. She's basically me in pony form.
My fiance didn't think he'd like Applejack, based purely on her accent. She ended up being his favorite.

Arrived from Hot Topic today!!!!! Pre-ordered this while waiting in line for Ballroom 20 at SDCC! But with all of the issues I've had with HT orders, I was worried it would get cancelled.

Will still be on the hunt for the crystal version but LOVE!!!

I don't care. I got excited seeing the early prototypes of Applejack and Rarity (and I know many fans were excited to finally have an AJ WITH hat!). My friend is pre-schooling her son about apple-picking, and asked where she could find an AJ with hat...and then she realized I had blogged about Funko's latest release!

I think it;d be great if Funko did a release like this last one: two regular sizes, and then a bigger release. Though I think now that we have Discord, Celestia would get my vote for next "big" release!


Btw, finally got the laest HT figs in the mail (came a day early!). I was planning to return them given I already bought them last Saturday...when I saw that I got shipped a clear Rarity! So pretty, though I may save her for trading fodder (would love to get some HT rare blindbags for her). Discord will be going back to HT though.

Since I asked, I should reciprocate and say my favorite is Pinkie with AJ a distant second and Twilight third since I usually try to be prepared for everything like her. One thing I appreciate about the show is that they have these distinct personalities for the Mane 6 ponies but they aren't afraid to show them at their very worst and it's done in a thoughtful, mature manner. So we see Twilight at her worst, RD at her worst, AJ at her worst and so forth.

lol XD I got into it halfway through season 2, I spent a whole weekend catching up X) The vinyls are pretty nice and they're big :D

Absolutely agree! I think the show is hilarious! The fact that I can get into it at my age really shows how good it is. I'm excited to get into Season 2 and see some more ponies!

Well, Funko hasn't really been one to just drop all of the fan-wants at once.

Remember their original release pattern of 1 'Mane' character, 1 background character? It took us 6 releases to just get our "Mane 6" collection completed.

I see them continuing giving us main characters as one-per-seasonal release. I could see Celestia being the biggie in the next one, and then in the Spring, we'd get Luna, and so on.

I could see a release next of maybe, Celestia, Zecora, and Cheerilee. Or, if my dreams of a mini-figs 4-pack comes true, maybe we'd get a 4-pack of the CMC's and Spike (I really want to see what they could do with making Spike!).

Though I think it would be cute if they blind bagged them as 3-4 in one box, like Disney did with the vinyls of Merida's brothers from 'Brave.'

I picked up my store order which turned out to be a regular Rarity and Discord.

I haven't heard of any west coast sightings of them so I won't bother with other HT locations until next week.

Funko makes main characters and popular characters guys, sorry to be a bear of bad news, but there is a reason she doesn't have merch she isn't very popular, I personally would not be excited at all for Sapphire Shores or Hoity Toity, don't like either of those characters not even sure if I would want to buy them. Now I am in love with Thunderlane and Star Hunter two of my favorite background characters, but I don't think they are popular enough to be made so I don't really count on them. The backgrounds need to be able to be popular enough to sell well or I'm sure Funko would not make them, because they would be losing money and the characters would sit on the shelves. Characters like Maud Pie and Soarin have a chance because both are very popular in the brony community and would sell well.

I wasn't saying that Funko would make them, just that it would be nice. Trust me, my favorite background pony (aside from Lyra) doesn't get much merch and that's because she isn't as popular as the others (it's Cherry Berry, btw. She has a brushable figure and I think that's it). So I get that.

Soarin would be a cool one to see, I actually forgot about him. And as much as I'm sure we'll see Maud, I keep thinking there have to be other characters from other seasons that would be made before her.

I definitely think that Photo Finish has a chance, as well as Bulk Biceps. We've seen them multiple times at this point and they've had speaking roles. Bulk would especially be interesting given his... uh... shape. Plus I want a figure of him to stand beside Fluttershy. They're BFFs in my mind.
