I'm going to pick mine up this morning. I have called about 8 stores in areas my family lives in, and each store seems to have received a single case of 6 of Applebloom and Scootaloo. No Sweetie Belle yet, and none received any crystals. Maybe crystals didn't make it into the cartons because the warehouse is pumping them through without direction? Who knows.

I checked my regular LA area HT and although they got a huge shipment in of Funko stuff, no Applebloom or Scootaloo. I'm about to head to another location or 2.

so HT is selling them but Funko doesn't know about it? that's so weird...guess I'll be calling around soon.

So...my hunch paid off! Hollywood and Highland HT have Applebloom and Scootaloo and now I do too! The best part is that I got to use my soon to expire Hot Cash towards them.

There's also a new MLP shirt available from them but it's Chicken Pinkie Pie and I've already seen enough of it last week at SDCC (mind you Pinkie is my favorite too). Everything from the Hasbro exclusive to Hasbro staff t shirts to their displays.

Hey does anyone have an explanation about why the minis are black except for the chases? With such a bright and colorful show I just dont get it. They really dont appeal to me... hope Chrysalis is color...

Thats the way the art is on the box would be my guess, they didn't probably want all of them the exact same as the larger vinyls otherwise what would be the point? Its just a chosen variant I guess, as for Queen Chrysalis she is already black so no idea what they will do for her.

Here are some quick size comparison shots with AJ

I know some of you incorporate the boxes into your displays and both of the CMC's boxes are about the same size as Daring Do's box (didn't have any other boxes handy at the moment)

Do you guys think this will be like the Sweetie Drops and Spitfire releases, where they initially just released the regulars and the glitters came out later with the next big batch from Funko?

I think there was an error and they went out earlier then they were suppose to, I'd love to find out more info I'm very confused!

@brand thanks for the pictures! They look so perfect! Surprised the boxes are the same size, thats good for me though for my shelf!

I'm sure Hot Topic stores were given a release date- the thing is that we know that not all of the stores are as good at obeying (or even remembering) the release dates as others. (Also some stores have next to no storage space) So they just put them out on the floor as the boxes are received.

My guess is that Funko thought it would appeal to the bronies more? I too wish they'd stick with the colored versions maybe with the black versions as the chases.

At least Chrysalis is black to start with- so if she stays black with her colored hair and clear wings- she will look just fine. I bet they do a 100% clear plastic version of her like they did for Discord for the Chase...

My theory on why these are showing up earlier than expected is that they got sent to HT stores along with the colossal shipments of other Funko stuff - convention POPs, POP t shirts and the like.

These are $18.50 just like regular MLP vinyls.

Just saw Applebloom and Scootaloo this weekend at another Hot Topic and wondered why they were out so early. I held off though because I was hoping the local one would have Sweetie Bell (my favorite), but sounds like she's not out yet. Wished I'd picked up an Applebloom now!

I think Scoots is the cutest as the clear variant

The CMC are definitely not my favorite characters, I think they're cute but not particularly exited about them so will probably pick them up as prices fall
