MLP Vinyl Discussion (Funko please bring back the Vinyls!)

I just got an email from Hot Topic saying that they had no estimated ship date because all 3 were stuck in the port. I hope the person that emailed me was just unaware of the arrival to the warehouse. And my Spike order has been saying Fulfilling Order since I placed my order last week.

Loving him! Dang you must have had overnight shipping huh, they just got him in the warehouse I thought, this is the only one I have seen so far anywhere.

My local HT got in a new box of MLP minis but half of it had already been picked through. I may never get Fluttershy and Spitfire at this rate.

What I don't understand is how a box of Spike made it to Funko Fundays? Aren't these HT exclusives first anyways? Also I don't get why the Spikes aren't at least shipping out.

I think you are confusing your event names. The event I was at was not a funko fundays. the Funko fundays happens every other year in a variety of cities across the US and as far as i can tell happens in early May. the next fundays will be early May 2015.

The event that I was at was a dinner where Funko had donated items and 2 spike's were donated by funko as a giveaway. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to take home one of the Spikes.

As for why Funko themselves had some, i suspect it's like with the books my company produces. When we print overseas 2 cartons are sent via air freight to us. this way we have a few samples for promotional purposes. the remaining print run are sent from China via boat. this can take a few weeks and with the port issues it can take much longer. The reason they aren't all sent via air freight as it's tremendously expensive and books are heavy!

I hope that clears things up.

Thanks for clearing that up, Lara! I had suspected from your posts on Instagram that you had gotten Spike at the event you were at, and it makes total sense that Funko would have their own product before anyone else. Also kinda glad to hear that they just had two Spike's as opposed to a whole bunch... that would've been slightly upsetting considering we're still waiting on him. Hopefully he and the other two show up soon!

Unfortunately, these figures have not yet been received by our warehouse due to the ongoing issues at the Port of Los Angeles, which means we haven’t been able to ship them out yet.

We’ll send your Princess Cadance and/or Shining Armor figure(s) by 4/10. And to make things right we’ll deduct the cost of shipping from your order, too.

Hey, I have a question! I've just been wondering about this. How many of you here don't collect or watch MLP, but get the pony Funko figures? And if you're one of those people, what made you want to collect the pony vinyls? I'm just curious.

I don't watch the shows, but my daughter loves the comics and the cartoons. She has almost ever SDCC MLP from Hasbro and has all the MLP pops. When I found her the Glitter Luna is when I started trying to find her all the glitter ones. Little did I know at the time they were the harder to find ones.

Wow, those two episodes today were really great! Good thing because that was a super long hiatus for the show - I think we got around 7 new releases from Funko during that time and that's not counting variants or the mystery minis.

And now, however long it may take, I totally want Funko versions of the rebel ponies - Sugar Belle, Party Favor, Night Glider, Double Diamond along with the great new villain we have in Starlight Glimmer.

My daughter loves MLP, just this weekend at WonderCon she bought more comics and several vinyl MLP figures. We found a guy selling the Black SDCC MLP DJPon and Spitfire for $8 total! So that was a awesome deal.

And super exciting news, I was able to score a awesome trade for a MLP Pop Trixie proto! She is going to flip out when she gets it!
