I played the tutorial and the Hot Fuzz level, and it was a lot of fun. So many little Funko Easter eggs (in one level, the extra collectible you need to get is a set of five El Diablo wobblers). Then I picked the Masters of the Universe level and the difficulty spike is pretty noticeable. Way harder than HF. The objectives are also a little unclear, so it’s a little frustrating.

I am enjoying the game. As a Funko Funatic, the little extras are so cool to see. And if you were good at the Lego games, you should also be good here. I am definitely struggling on MOTU, I would love to know if anyone else thinks the level is easy lol

I agree. I love all the Easter eggs in the game!

I started with umbrella now I’m stuck on the second level on the streets with getting luthor through the street of water where you need the battery and fuse to open the gate to drain the water I’m assuming. My problem is where’s the battery? When I got to crack it just says lock 0/3 only trampoline and music player, any time I found one of the the rings to insert after it’s just breaks and I do t get it.. I’m so confused any help so frustrating please

I just finished the Umbrella Academy section, so I can help. I am sure you figured it out by now, but the battery and fuse are just to get a silver crown. For Luther to keep moving you need to do this:

Spoiler: show
First you build the record player and he walks to the donut shop. Then you clear out the donut shop and play the jukebox there. Then you play as Alison and tell the man with the speech bubble over his head that you heard he wants to sing for Luther. Luther will dance until he is stopped by a wall of fire. Then, still as Alison you go to the bowling alley and tell the doorman to let you in, and then you can clear that out and come out of the door on the other side and turn off the fire.

I thought the level after this was pretty tricky, let me know if you have any questions about it.

10/10 Games put out a patch today which makes the game easier, but it also broke the cameo worlds. Hopefully they patch it soon, all I have left is to finish some of the cameo worlds.

I started playing this a few days ago - ow I haven’t played since this last patch, but I found there to be way to many enemies. I feel like I can’t just look around and enjoy the background and landscape.

The level where that was really an issue for me was Masters of the Universe - they threw so many enemies at you and those robots and the little Beast Man guys are the worst. I read they patched it, but I haven't played MOTU again yet to confirm. I will need to eventually for the crowns I missed, so I will see if they made it better.

Yah, it's not that uncommon these days. It seems like developers they prioritized next gen consoles (PS/XBOX) development first and then Switch development later because it's a different software system to develop for.

I'm enjoying this game. Completed the main story line, so I am now re-doing levels to 100% the game.

This game feels rushed. Lots of bugs I wouldn't expect to find in a normal Lego game.. Their first major patch notes were more about difficulty than fixing bugs, which says a lot about their player base. Still enjoying it. Want to see what else they do when DLC comes out.

I think it's a fun game, but it does have flaws. It's much better than some of the reviews have been. IGN gave it a 4/10 and that is just insane. I love Funko but I am not a mindless supporter who loves everything, so I would tell the truth if the game was bad. It's a platformer collectathon so if you hate those, you will have a rough time, but I love platformers. They are a dying genre but they have always been my favorite types of games (Ratchet and Clank and the 3D Mario games are my favorite series ever).

It looks amazing. The graphics are great (I am playing on the PS5), and there are little Funko Easter eggs all over the place like random posters on the walls and Fantastik Plastik characters all over the place. The level design is really good, and is true to the shows or movies they come from. What I mean by that is that in Umbrella Academy for example, you can see actual places from the show like the donut shop or the theater where Viktor plays the violin in season 1. In Jaws, you really are on the beach in Amity. It's great to look at and that encourages exploration. The character selection for most levels is solid - every main level has four characters and I can't think of one that disappointed me with who they chose (although I really wanted to play as Kim Pine in Scott Pilgrim or Wilford Brimley's character in The Thing level). I also really like the character design for the new characters - both Eddy and Foxxo are good looking characters.

As far as flaws, some of those have been patched. The Masters of the Universe has a real huge difficulty spike compared to the other levels. It's the only level where I died enough to have to restart the level. I heard this has changed but I have not replayed it yet. Your objectives are not always clear, so sometimes you find yourself wandering around wondering what to do. And most levels have some sort of escort quest and those are never great in any game. One or two of them (looking at you, Battlestar Galactica) have such dumb AI that the people you are escorting get stuck or glitched. I had to restart BSG a couple of times because Boxy walked into a wall and wouldn't follow me anymore.

I plan on getting the platinum trophy but you need 100% for that. I should finish the story tonight. I was trying to complete all the cameo levels first and those were glitched after the latest update so I couldn't play Shaun of the Dead or Jaws, but that is fixed now so I played Shaun yesterday and started Jaws, which I will finish tonight before I go fight Eddy. 100% involves a lot of replaying though, so I think I will take a break and play Astro Bot and come back to Funko Fusion. It's 100% worth getting if you like platformers like the Lego games, and 10/10 Games plans on supporting it for a long time so I think the flaws will be fixed or at least minimized.

Thank you very much for the in-depth review! As I was reading it, I couldn't resist opening a new tab to order the game for pick-up. You convinced me when you mentioned that it reminds you of Ratchet and Clank, a game I love. What also sold me was your statement, "I love Funko, but I am not a mindless supporter who loves everything, so I would tell the truth if the game was bad." Thanks again for the review, and I'm looking forward to starting playing it tomorrow!

Wish I seen this before purchasing but alas too late. My issue was there's no tutorial at the onset and required lots of trial and error with a steep learning curve and even then, still a bit confusing. Agreed on the graphics but the ramp is a bit rough. Lots of things hidden and figuring out the puzzles definitely makes things interesting. I'll probably end up having to play the game in spurts otherwise I might need a new TV and controller! LOL

I just replayed that level and finally beat it - it took me 10 health sodas and a lot of running back and forth. The portal system you have to use to gain access to the top of the towers is so odd. I am very happy I am finally done with that. Hope you can beat it soon!

Still haven't had a chance to find the game but heard some good things about it. :freddy3:

My thoughts exactly. There’s a couple upcoming games higher on my list right now but I’d like to pick it up and play it at some point. Got some crazy looking pops out of it though.

Regardless of how good or bad the game is, it was worth it for the Pops we got haha

Finally, after nearly a month, I am done with Funko Fusion. I rolled credits last week, and I was going to take a break to play something else and then come back to clean up, but I was so close I decided to just finish. 100% done and the platinum trophy unlocked on the PS5. Now on to Astro Bot!

If you are going to go for 100%, I have one piece of advice for you: write down which levels you have gotten the KFC bucket on. It's the only collectible that the game does not track for you, and you need all of them to unlock Colonel Sanders. I ended up replaying so many levels just to make sure I got the bucket.

Congrats on the 100%! Do you need Col Sanders to get 100% though? I guess it should as you would need all characters unlocked. I paused my 100% journey since I have gotten stuck in a level multiple times. Might as well wait for co-op to show up so I can use a friend to help me get some of the collectibles.

I bought the game a few weeks ago, but I haven’t played it yet because I’ve been waiting for co-op so I can play with my husband. Have they said when they expect to have co-op ready?

On Reddit, someone said you don't need to play as Colonel Sanders but you do need the chicken. I didn't want to risk it, so I got them all.

10:10 Games put out a roadmap and said some levels will be co-op by the end of this month and the rest by the end of next month.
