My Little Pony proto's

Postby fuwa fuwa » Tue Sep 04, 2012 11:52 pm

Hi all, just got my MLP Rainbow Dash and Derpy Hooves proto's in the mail today.(Thank you gemi) I am very happy with the size and sculpt. Funko stayed close to the slim animation style rather then Hasbros chunky leg and face style. The hair is sculpted very nice and looks like they again tried to stay as close to the animations versions as possible. I do hope that they fixed the purpleish tint they gave Derpy, shes obviously grey. :D other than that I look forward to seeing more of them from Funko in the future. Here are some pictures of the two together then a size comparison to the Hasbro Derpy and Funko Derpy. They are pretty close in height but in my opinion I think Funkos captures the ponys better than hasbro.

my 13 y/o son says Derpy rules. Crush, Kill, Destroy... Swag. It apparently has something to do with a you tube video.

So cool! We love MLP in our house.

Can't wait to see these live and in person. Rainbow Dash has been my fav since these came out in the early oughts.

Firefly was my fav from the 80s.

Well you're causing quite a stir in the Pony side;

There's some feedback about the colors and the mark, honestly I'd love to know if these are going to be avalible soon.

Yeah, these will most likely be available soon. I believe Brian announced them at the last Funko Fundays.

Sorry all I've been MIA for a while been really busy. I saw the post at the equestriadaily thanks to jango and was excited for funko to see that they are getting such a great response. I was surprised to see my picture of my protos at the top! I am watching a eBay auction with a boxed proto That is fetching a pretty impressive price for what it is but we all knew going into this that once the mlp crowd fount out they would go nuts. Safe to say my Protos are here to stay with me.

There's demand in the brony community, it'd be great to see a survey for future characters in vinyl or other products.
